Altarial Posted May 11, 2007 Share Posted May 11, 2007 Ancient Sebilite Protector Where: Old Sebilis, we will form up outside by the port in stone. It is very important that no one goes in early to clear the spawn room as the mob pops when the room clears and [berserker] is in a raid with 10+ people. It will despawn within 5 minutes and has a 2 hour respawn. How: Once we have a raid of 10+ people, we well buff up and head into Seb to the "juggs" area, which is way down at the end near where Trakanon spawns. The room "An Ancient Sebilite Protector" spawns in is the one where we normally camp the reet crowns – up that ramp and in thru the locked door, but before the invis wall that leads to Trak's lair. We kill that whole room – roamers first, then static mobs – and upon the death of the last static mob, An Ancient Sebilite Protector and 2 a Sebilite Guards (unkillable/untouchable pets) spawn. Ancient hits for 1600 max, AE rampages, has an AE curse called Curse of the Protector (2500dd, 1000 mana drain, -45 to all stats, 30 curse counters, 200 MR check). Having a bard along to sing MR songs will help, but Infusion should also help if we don't have a bard. Ancient isn't immune to slow, but is very resistant, so hopefully if we keep at it, slow will eventually land. IMPORTANT: [berserker] has to use the 4 axes he was given. After they all break after he tests them on the Ancient, we kill the Ancient ASAP. His pets are inactive until 75%, at 75% both pets begin to Complete Heal, and the Ancient's AE begins. At around 10% the Ancient's AE begins to go off around every 5 seconds. Upon the Ancient's death both pets become active and killable and a chest spawns. Be sure to kill him in the room he spawns in or we may not get the chest. It is important that [berserker] not die on this raid, so he will need a healer assigned to him specifically if possible. The quest is often bugged when the zerker dies, and then he'd have to start all over again, which is a 2 hour respawn. We need to be buffed and ready to go before clearing the room. The AE is supposed to go off about every 30 seconds, then increases in frequency near death, becoming every 5 seconds within the last 10%.
