Altarial
Dark Disciple Master - Wakening Land How: [cleric] turn in 3 farmed brains to Plavo. Plavo despawns and a Dark Disciple Master spawns. Raid event. (cleric loses the brains if we don't win). Defeat Dark Disciple Master and he despawns. Dark Disciple Master (Human in Robe) AE = Deady Chants = -1500 Mana Pool + 100DoT(Tick) = 18 Seconds Apart Max Hit 1-2k Slowable : Yes (Very Resistant) Messable : No Rampage : Yes Flurry : No Plavo's Remains (Specter) Spawns at 60% Max Hit 1k Slowable : Yes Messable : No Rampage : No Flurry : Yes Minion of the Master (Skeletons) Spawns at 30% : 6 Minions (can be up to 10) Max Hit 700 Slowable : Yes Messable : No Snareable : Yes Rampage : No Flurry : No Spawns at 10%: Chest - Can use /open or Rogue to Pick, or just attack and destroy. Tactics: Best place to set up is in the geonid caves slightly to the north of where plavo spawns. There is a corner which can be used for tanking readily available. Have a warrior follow you out to tag DDM when you turn in your brains (make sure you DA). Warrior drags DDM back to cave and sets up in corner. Disease slow works well. Didn't try nihil. Rampage is AOE, so max melee is improtant. Deathly chants is slightly annoying but not a huge deal in reality, as it only decreases your maximum mana by 1500. Feel free to set up a rotation within range. The dot is only 100 hp a tick, and as such is kinda trivial. Somewhere between 60-70% plavo's remains will spawn (reaper model). Offtank and kill it. Resume killing the DDM. At 30% he spawns skellies. These may be a percentage based spawn, or a time based spawn. There can be as many as 7. Have a SK or two AE hate and run them off. Have two or 3 enchanters chain dispell at 30% to prevent him from mitigating. The DDM despawns at 10%. A gilded chest will spawn which needs to be lockpicked or beaten to death. You may not loot until all of the skeletons that you have aggro on are dead or despawned. Upon looting the aegis, another chest will spawn with attuneable loot. More Tactics: (Taken from eqcleric.com) Group requirements: -2 tanks (MT, ST for remains) -shammy slower -lots of DPS - melee is best due to reflect and mana drain -4 healers (2 on MT, 1 on offtank for remains, 1 on rest of group) -a chanter to chain dispell at 30% -3 kiters for minions that spawn around 30% -3-4 groups recommended total Highlights: -AE ramps -disease slowable -spawns Remains at 70%, which needs to be killed asap -spawns minions at 30% which need to be kited -chanter needs to start chain dispell on master at 30% to get rid of reflect and mitigate self buffs -respawn timer on the event is 90-120 mins, so they can't be done back to back, but can be done with a few other hits in between Set up: At the geonid caves, just to the north of where Plavo spawns. Casters should be set up out of the 100' AE range to avoid it completely. Turn in: Bring the MT to Plavo, DA, do the hand-in, have the MT tag and drag back to corner to tank Dark Disciple Master in. Dark Disciple Master: hits for 1-2k, procs Deathly Chants every 18 seconds (see below), AE ramps (max melee range for the win!), and is highly magic resistant. Disease slow works. At 60-70% health, it will spawn Plavo`s Remains (reaper model), which flurries for 1k and is slowable but unmezzable. All assist to kill this, then go back to killing the Dark Disciple Master. At 30% health, it will spawn several Minions of the Master (time-based spawns - kite them away from raid as they pop), which hit for 700, are slowable/snareable but unmezzable. Master casts reflect and mitigate on itself, so chanter needs to chain dispell from this point on. At 10%, it despawns and chests pops. Kill the adds as the chest is looted. Have a necro FD in case of a late wipe to rez cleric in to loot up. Chest can be opened by rogue, with LDoN cleric spells, or by hitting it. Deathly Chants is an unresistable AE that reduces mana cap by 1500 and sticks on a 9 counter curse that does 150 HPs/tick damage (AE heal, RC1 or better, group heal cures to counter the small HP DoT). Its affect is insignificant.
