Hawk
Submission to the Emperor, M'Liege. The following is a breakdown of information that our agents have been able to gather on the affliction that has befallen Ancient Wolf and several Legion members. The affliction is definately a "posession" of sorts. A spell that locks the Ancient's soul and mind deep within his own body has been cast. Through him, an external agent (believed to be driven by Blackthorn although this has not been 100% confirmed) Has taken control of his physical body. The invading source has utilized Ancient Wolf to spread his hold on various members through an extension of magic and through the use of posession runes. Our agents believe that by breaking the spell upon Ancient Wolf, the circle of magic will be broken releasing the other afflicted as well. As you are aware a spell has been formulated to break the hold. The Empire requires the heart of an Ancient Wyrm, the Soul of an Ancient Lich and the blood of another Ancient. Ancient Martok has performed the ritual and gathered his blood leaving the 2 remaining ingredients. We have determined for certainty that the afflicted members of the Legion are: Ancient Wolf Sheard Vush'nak Kodoz and a fifth member that may well be from within our shadow house. We have noted discrepancies in his appearance and mannerisms on several occasions which leads us to believe he is one of our agents although as yet we cannot determine which one. We have seen that with each attack and defeat, the enemy seems to grow stronger while complacency weakens the Legion line. Some stand against the foe yet I fear it may not be enough should the ingredients not be acquired. We have garnered information from the corpses of the slain that leads us to believe that additional creations of mechanical means are being crafted to be brought against the Empire. Alas, I wish I could determine more but our agents are having difficulty acquiring information as this threat comes from a most unusual source. We recommend attempts be made to secure the remaining ingredients before it is too late. Humbly, Hawk
