Port Authority

Greetings friends,

It seems that I am once again, confused, dazed, and left with very little mana, and stamina. My inability to read properly is the main reason for blame.

Concerning the Port Authority.. it seems that all are welcome to contribute to the stock piles of any sort (ie fishsteaks, leather, ore, etc.). I was just wondering what is the main purpose for this gathering of resources?

Is it for display, for guild use, for general public use?

I am sure the answer to this question and many of the other questions that I have are hidden somewhere on this skypage of eternal information.

If it is for display use, great! If it is for guild use, great! Who is elligible for resource consumption? If it for general public use, great! Who can qualify for this priviledge.

The contributions of resources while not mandatory, is certainly appreciated.  The main focus for guild donated resources would be for guild use.  There have been numerous discussion concerning the creation of the trades consortium which would be a natural feed for these resources to enhance the Empire and bring gatherings to our fair lands. I believe, if I'm not mistaken that is the ultimate purpose of resource acquisiton to feed the Craftsmen and women, not strictly for display at all, although Borg has the master plan for the port authority.

The only tribute citizens of the Empire are asked to regularily donate are gems...this can be found on the CODEX

Paragraph 1

As the case has always been the means to improve the universities of knowledge are funded by varied donations. The Senators of the Imperial houses are responsible for gathering the declared items if called upon by OLYMPUS. The only required TRIBUTE from every citizen is Gems that are found in wild during ALL members activities. If individual members wish to donate gold that is their choice and registered in their names.

One of the focuses of Senators is to build up stockpiles of resources that exist, which are important to thier citizens skill growth and/or future endeavors.

The Legion of the Empire provides the muscle and arm of the Empire, while the Senate body produces supplies and/or gold to be donated to Olympus as Tribute

Section 1 Description

The Empire recognizes twelve areas of skill discipline. These twelve areas are combined to form a five house Senate which each of the twelve categorized skill disciplines act as an arm of the Council of Honor. The Senate is equal, and no specific hierarchy is followed. The Senate of PGoH is the civilian side of Empire with emphasis on resource management and creation of gold for Tribute as well as skill growth.

These stockpiles then are used for planned events for Senate tradesmen or citizens in training within the houses and/or for realm events or major tributes to the GODS of Skill.  These events are planned and/or coordinated thru Olympus to enhance the lives of all the citizens of the Empire.

The COUNCIL of HONOR semi-annually meets to discuss the condition of the Empire Treasury/Vault and determines if any TRIBUTE will be set for following 6 months. Expenditures of Tribute is then performed as determined by plans set by OLYMPUS.

At this point I will drop this note....the GODS of Skill now are leaning toward allowing the power of architecture to be aquired by great tradesmen/women.  For those who have been within the Empire for 2 years or more....this was announced long ago as a reason we pushed our citizens to learn the tradeskills hard and true.  The other half of this urgency was to build up reserves for 2 other reasons....maintenance requirements and architecture supplies.  The latter now soon looks to become reality.  Upon further declarations we will obviously learn more...but IF we and our citizens are to enjoy this new profession and lifestyle improvment....and resources are to be needed in mass....we should utilize our TRUE POWER of the EMPIRE.....many hands working together and build these stockpiles so that we will be ready.

The new skill caps are hard to achieve for more than obvious reasons you know now......there are uncounted new craftables soon to become learned....lets not have to worry about spending days and nights alone gathering reasources needed when gathering them in groups is sooo SOOOO SO much faster and efficient......and FUN.

Lastly the Port Authority is to be a HUB......for this commerce and Senate resource interactions.  Vendors ARE also available to be place here too......all members in good standing are eligible to accept the responsibility of running a vendor.

Note: the Sunken, Maps and Rares Dealers begin to create a bit of a shady feeling....if you imagine a city and those who sell....oddities or things aquired...say not so nicely..."hey lady wanna buy a watch?" ehehhe....right outside a more reputable establishment selling magical items found in lands far far away.

Vendor Operators must be committed to supporting vendors so that "life" can be created inside our PGoH Olympus Caslte area and bring in more travelers to our area of control.
