Holyssa
/use Booterang WERK IS NOT DA POOP! I hear ya though. It's a slow quarter here at the lab. Things don't pick up until students & interns pop up during summer hours, and very few projects leave me little paperwork. Just small bits of busy stuff. My boredom killers: - Take a stretch break if you're at work. Where I am, the supervisors don't mind if you take an occasional 5-10 minute break to breathe life back into one's limbs (heck, they encourage it). Only problem is it's very easy to get lost due to it's deceptively large size. Of course, your environment & work rules may differ. - Got Java up-to-date? http://www.virtualnes.com/ - Look for class-related stuff. Maintankadin.com fills my head with all kinds of wacky stunts to pull, and is a good knowledge resource. - Battle this damned turtle Orcala gave me for Christmas. It won't stop attacking my Nintendo DS... - YouTube! Here's a sampling from my Funny Cats Folder. Some of it might be familiar: ~ ~ ~ Nora. Nuff' said. - Lurk around Adult Swim.com. - Google something that tingles your spine (but is obviously work-safe). I personally like browsing old galleries of abandoned structures and buildings (with my Silent Hill music playing nearby). This site is my favorite. It won't stop attacking my Nintendo DS... OOoooh Crono Trigger..... This brings memories!!! Frog.. oh my dear frog.. my hero my hero.. Wish I could do Youtube.. damn they blocked it.. - Got Java up-to-date? http://www.virtualnes.com/ Humm interresting... This may occupy my boredom for a few hours.. Waldonnis
Even though I don't currently work, I run into the same problem during server downtime. Here's my list of favourite things to do while "doing nothing": Make a blog entry Read other blogs that I frequent Check on the latest news from the physics world (hobby) Write add-on code or work on any number of programming projects that I always have in progress Email quirky greeting cards to random friends Write short stories or poems Pick a CGI model from some web site and animate it (usually space ships) Plan out my future Tivo recording schedule
Nawt
~Facebook! (Ya'll can add me if you want: Kim Deal.....) ~Randomly pick a child to harass about homework, dirty rooms, jobs and anything that is reasonably unworthy of nagging about. (They love it I swear ) ~House work.. no one else will do it ~Check the server status every 5 min. Watch the clock. ~Porn? I"M KIDDING. (Stash under boys bed. I don't have to surf far....) ~SHOP! ~Work on patch days...

Zurg
1. Let out a primal scream and tell Mali how much this game sucks 2. Look at clock 3. Try to relog 4. Try to relog 5. Pick up phone to call off work then decide against it 6. Try to relog 7. Shout random curse word 8. Wonder if I have Tourettes Syndrom due to my frequent swearing outburts 9. Pick up phone to call off work. Dial first 3 digits then hang up again. 10. Put on my Ipod and cook/clean something while wearing t-shirt and gym shorts/Simpsons Pajama pants, dancing the whole time like I'm auditioning for Dance Fever 11. Laugh maniacally at myself 12. Pick up phone and call off work 13. Lament using my comp time for WoW 14. Relog
Mali
I have a few things I do, mainly aimed at irritating Zurg for my enjoyment. Unscrew the cap to the toothpaste. Take the cap off his shaving cream. Loosen the lid to the peanut butter. Rearrange pantry items on the shelves so he has to look behind other items for what he wants. Empty the dishwasher and then put newly dirtied items in the sink. There are others, I'm sure, but those are the ones I do most frequently. Even tho.. my lead has her cat at work.. its funny to baby sit it at times when my lead have to go out.. Now.. gosh.. not even my Hi-lighters are giving me any enjoyment.. What to do.. Ive checked Holy's "fun page" im bored again.. I even read V's blog posts.. it was a good read.. but then after I was done.. im back to being bored again.. Gosh.. i need a motivation boost.. hmm.. I always could go and make my co-workers desk a mess.. like put a piece of tape on his phone so it doesnt answer it when he picks it up.. or.. disconnect his mouse and keyboard before he comes in to work.. that might be fun for... 2 min. I could always tweek my wish list for Perthes.. AGAIN.. LETS SEE!!! At the moment he only needs items from Heroic VH(Gloves), Nexus(Feet and bracer), HoS(Leggings) and Normal HoL's first boss (Ring). Then at the same time.. the famous rep grind with a few factions to get exalted with AC, Sons of Hodir, Oracle... hmm.. yeah.. Finish up the quests in Storm Peaks.. prolly 10 left or so.. Then I guess Rakin's is next.. lets see.. ah heck... get it to 80 first THEN plan his steps next.. but how to get there.. hmm as Arms or Fury... Hmm I have 2 nice 2 handers.. lets try Fury this time.. yes.. No.. no i do not wanna go prot with Rakin.. it sounded fun before.. but i know better now.. dps is more fun.. oh.. did I just waste.. 20 min.. SWEET!!! Perthes
Okey so I did mess up my co-workers desk.. AND IT WAS FUN!!!! He came in the door and walked over to his cubicle.. looked around.. sat down.. was opening his desk drawer.. He was looking for his mouse LOL... It was funny.. I checked up on him 30 min after he came in and was still without his mouse.. But working.. clicking the "Tab" key a million times a minute.. LOL I asked him where his mouse was.. he didnt say anything but grunt.. I told him to look under his desk... I had strapped his mouse stuck under his desk and.. he got all grumpy and was cussing at me trying to hit me but also laughing.. LOL Now im bored again.. damnit.. lets see.. Perhaps I should take one of my team lead's stuffed animals that is on her desk and kidnap it? or strap a rope (Made of paperclips) around its neck and hang it on the side of her cubicle with a note saying " Gud bue cruel wurld"

Kieranna
Wow...I feel for your poor team lead. First your team lead has to put up with the pure torture that is looking at you and now your team lead had to deal with one of your pranks.... *snicikers* Edited January 14, 2009 by Kieranna
Mali
Do what Jim Halpert would do. Put nickels inside your coworker's handset of their phone - a little at a time - so that they get accustomed to the extra weight. Then, take them all out at once so that they hit themselves in the head the next time they pick it up.
