PROMOTION Mechanics

Ok......many times I am asked this question....

"When am I gonna get promoted?", asks a Legionnaire or Squire.

So......to cover this matter so everyone understands the answer I will spell it out here.

Within the CODEX it states the following passages:

Paragraph v

The Decurion is the trainer of new recruits, Legionnaires, into the Legion. He is responsible for training and familiarizing the recruits with PGoH tactics outlined by the Senator of War. He must maintain a stern manner and teach the Legionnaires discipline and teamwork. Through processes of breaking down and building up the mental character of the Legionnaire he creates Legionnaires who will become a strong arm in the PGoH Legion. He is also responsible for submitting a detailed performance report on each Legionnaire at the end of their session of thirty days. All aspects of Legionnaire affairs are his domain.  The Decurion is in effect the Centurion of all Legionnaires and Squires

Paragraph vii

Squires are aspiring Knights of those who have been accepted by empire. With the help of their Knight they must learn to adapt and live within the Empire while learning Legion protocol.

Paragraph viii

The Legionnaire is an applicant to the Empire who has petitioned for entry and acceptance into the Legion. For thirty days he must learn to live in this new world, as all are reviewing his performance for acceptance to further his Legion training.  Inactivity of a Legionnaire can result in dismissal due to the AWOL status.

One should only be a Legionnaire for about 1 month.....being a Squire can take longer and depending on the person....very long if time is limited that they can play.

(July is the most hellish month with vacations since most of the guild have families or summer programs.....myself I have USTA Tennis Leagues and Tournaments to direct)

Every week to help satisfy 50% of the Legionnaire requirements for promotion I will be conducting LEGIONNAIRE CODEX Review tests.

Marcos the Black will be assuming Decurion role until Rand completes his real life housing/job move relocation.....he will be reporting to me Legionnaires who accomplish the other 50% requirement for promotion to Squire status.

Squires will be assigned a personal quest to achieve....which will be 50% of thier requirement to Knighthood and the other 50% will come from review by Decurion based on reports by thier sponsor Knight AND/OR reputation/activity sent in by Centurions, Senators, Praetorian Prefect or Magistrates.

RECAP....

Legionnaire requirement for promotion to Squire

Pass CODEX REVIEW TEST

Approval from DECURION based on performance and discipline

Squire requirement for promotion to Knight

Completion of QUEST designed by Emperor

Approval from DECURION based on performance and discipline.

ALL PROMOTIONS .............ALL PROMOTIONS REQUIRE CONSISTENT ROLEPLAY to existing role the character holds....that is a given.  Roleplaying is not rocket science and not difficult...its a state of mind where you immerse yourself within the character....bringing more life into the game for all around you.

In the end it is critically important that once you become a KNIGHT you are fully knowlegable about the CODEX, Discipline, Hierarchy, guild structure and are effective roleplayers for your characters.......why?.....because it is KNIGHTS who ARE the recruiters.......most guilds assign ONE person or Two to be recruiters........in the EMPIRE it is the role of the KNIGHT that is the recruiter......thier behavior and pressence or actions will be as it was in the past......an awe to see and something the young look up to and say.......I am gonna be a knight someday......and hopefully they will ask you if they could be your squire.....and so the system goes.....

Looking at the system its all in place and only needs you to do your part....together we succeed.....and will prosper and grow......The Empire of Honor (PGoH) is a fluid growing living entity.....it is not one person....it is the many of YOU.
