Eldoran Nobleheart
i choose to rant here cause i dont want to rant in front of everyone else. To build a more successful guild we need to get everyone their epics, and I know that is not our fault. I got my epic becuase i did not take no for an answer, I went through great lengths to get every piece i needed, whether it was buying my Jade Reaver or getting Merlica to get me the PoA item. To many times i have heard Im never gonna get mine cause they think its going to be way to hard, but this guild has great potential. its not often i dont get on and see at least 10 50+ and that is truly awesome. We currently have at least 29 planes capable people (that have registered on guildmagic). Current average lvl per guildie is 40 total member count is 69 (that have registered on guildmagic), and with those numbers we can do some pretty amazing things, I just wish all of the other SLoTs could see that. So this is what i suggest, First we a put most of our attention into epics Second me find a zone where we can train and get everyone where they are a fine tuned machine Third we get all officers to print a guildmagic roster list, and if u see someone not on the list on we tell them to register, but dont be overly agressive here. and i think by doing the first two things we will become so strong as a guild that nothing will be able to topple us. please feel free to reply to this thread I look forward to hearing from you all here
Huddig
I think epics are a huge moral booster for the guild. I agree that we should get together and do things as a guild. Dragons are a good team effort type of battle but Vox and Naggy would be difficult for us because our level range is so spread out. I created an ogre warrior that i'm gonna park at 52.9 and switch to AA just for Naggy and Vox but he's a long way from being ready. I also believe that SLoT needs to focus on leveling. Your main char needs to be 60 and needs to be 60 now. If you play 7 days a week 5 of em should be xp days. I loved Growth. Break in was easy. Cr was pretty easy. Mobs went down nice. Only problem is every other slot is either a druid, ranger or paladin. They can't do PoG until after their epics are done and they don't mind never going home again. I think our efforts in the Hole show that we are capable of tougher things. BTW xp in the Hole is uber-licious. And nobody is ever there. I think that should be our first hang out spot otw to 60. We need to gear up and try to take a WW dragon. I've heard of shammy's soloing one. I've talked to peeps saying they trio'd one. I think we should at least be able to scare one. Or at the very least its a CR in a new spot. Yah!
Saite
I think that getting our epics is a very good idea and I know you dont want to hear about the "its to hard " BUT...for some of us it is going to be extrememly diffilcult. The pieces I have still to get are: Alluring Horn - Quag Maelstrom in OOT - this is not problem getting, just need maybe one or two peeps to help get it. Backbone of the Fisherman - Phinigel Autropos in Kedge Kepp - this might be alittle diffilcult, not sure, I have only been here once. At least two groups, he has a tendecy to be bring adds, so a chanter is needed as well. Amalgym Tentalce - Amygdalan Warrior in the Plane of Fear - its a plane item, of course it will be diffilcult but impossible. There was somene that had this piece and was going to MQ it with me but I cant remember her name. Petrified skull of a Lycanthrope - Drolvarg Warlord in Karnors Castle - kinda a rare drop but not impossible again...been there the last couple nights and trying to get into a WL group but its always full. I hate this zone to...trains are horrible and the deaths add up quick. ( 3 last night ) Then there are these guys... Large red Dragon Scale - Lord Nafagen or Ragefire in Naggys Lair OR Nortlav Scalekeeper in The Hole Large white Dragon Scale - Gorenaire of Dreadlands or Lady Vox of Permafrost Meatl bit - hmmm, anyone know a smith? Last but not least *GULP* The High Majesty himself......Trakanon level 65 dragon out of Sebilis. He is my final kill and then I have my epic..... I could try and buy the scales but they go for about 20k a piece and I have never seen that kind of pp in my whole existance in this game BUT the string I need from His Majesty are No Drop.... Lolanya1
Hmm, how do I put this... I don't really care about my epic right now. I have no designs on preping for it, starting it, acquiring the first few steps, traveling about tackling the menial tasks. None of it appeals to me. Think about it this way, would you rather have your clerics be able to rez 40 of you in 2 minutes cause they can right click a weapon, OR save your ass from dying in the first place cause they can cast Blessing of Ageolism on all 40 of you before the fight, and Word of Redemption (Group CHeal) afterwards? I'm working on a goal of level 60. Until someone can convince me otherwise, this is my focus. That and rezzing Defeu every 5 minutes.
Guest Votive
If you play 7 days a week 5 of em should be xp days....xp in the Hole is uber-licious. And nobody is ever there. I think that should be our first hang out spot otw to 60. Hud has a good point on many areas. First off is xping. If you do play 7 days a week, 50% or more should be put into xp on your main character. Yes. Yes. Yes. But there is a flip side to this. And its a side we have all talked about before. Just how can we make everyone play their mains? We honestly cant. We are not the most powerful guild to say, play or we boot ya. Its tough. Hole is nice. Hole is sweet sweet sweet xp. Other high level areas that are good is Howling Stones. Its hot and cold there, sometimes no one, other times every wing is camped. (/hugs his mask of Ovulation [Erudite Mask]) Huddig and I almost went to Dragon Necrop last night, but ended up in a King group in Seb instead. I think a well balanced group could make an excursion in DN. Fungus is almost too difficult to do without either a 60 puller or a monk. Scarlet aint bad, nor is Grey. Maidens Eye is another place, but is becoming a Seb/KC/Velks population wise. But yes, xping is what needs to be done. And Baldaek is a perfect example. * * * * * Epics are indeed lovely, but Baldaek makes a good point as well. would you rather have your clerics be able to rez 40 of you in 2 minutes cause they can right click a weapon, OR save your ass from dying in the first place cause they can cast Blessing of Ageolism on all 40 of you before the fight But, even with Aegolism, wipeouts can and will occur, and quick get ups are worth while for: 1) Less down time = Less time stewing over "how much this sucks" 1.b) Less time stewing = Less people leaving a raid 1.c) Less people leaving a raid = More opportunity for Loot (assuming thats what the raid is for) 2) A quick CR and revival = a higher want for revenge 3) Clerics just need to use mana to rebuff so less wait for med time to get things rolling again However, and to just be neutral here, I would rather a 60 cleric on a raid than a 53 cleric with epic. Epic aint gonna Complete Heal the tank. Nor is a naked 53 cleric's mana pool = to that of a naked 60 clerics. And to put it into perspective as a rogue. ATM I have 3 weapons. 2 for my primary and a stationary Secondary. When I am just paired with a monk or I dont have a haster in my group, I just use my shaded dagger, 11/22 with resists. Its quick and I can still poke nice size holes in people's backs. My left hand is always holding my Rabid Chokadai Fang, 13/29 with a 38dd 100something dot proc. Now when I am toppleing mobs with a chanter or shammy in a group, and even moreso when a bard tosses their haste song in, I use a razor sharp Phirana fin. 15/31. CRAPPY DELAY! (For a rogue) Thats why I wont use it unless I have a haster wit me. But Lord. I tore a 455pt hole in the back of a shroom warrior last night, and it felt GOOD! Now, Ragebringer is in my eyes now. I have a taste of the dmg I am gonna do right now with it, and with the added atk and stats the Rage will give me I will be all set till we get me my Myrlokar's Dagger of Vengeance. /DROOL! So, I do want my epic, but on the flip side. When I hit 60, I can assasinate mobs (within the Lvl bracket) and I can do that with or without my ragebringer. So, I guess what I am trying to say is that each class has its advantages at 60 wether or not they are epified. Man, I think I am just rambling on now... /sigh I got my epic becuase i did not take no for an answer, I went through great lengths to get every piece i needed, whether it was buying my Jade Reaver or getting Merlica to get me the PoA item. And buy Jade Reavers you have bro. One for nearly every Druid and ranger out there. But, not everyone can buy that item that they need, you had the patience to play the market game, but now, even that is nerfed with /bazaar. It does take a strong guild to get an epic step by step. If you look at our epicholders, you see: Seria/Khavi (monk/bard) = Helped by members of AV/was in AV Moontrie (Shammy) = Helped by her rich friends. (thats for you Hud) Eldy (Ranger) = You said it yourself bro, you got helped by outside help and bought your items. The Three epic holders all recieved outside help. but doing start to end as a guild would be the ultimate in my eyes. And ####, I know that the General cant be done by SLoT alone for my epic and I'll need outside help for that, but once we are able to complete an epic by pure SLoT fashion, it will be a joyus day. My last item of discussion is this. The Tiers As you see, there are 3 mobs listed for entrance into Tier 1. Inorder to attain this lvl, we mus kill two of the mobs (Trak and Inny) OR We kill VS. All three of wich can be done in our future, but not at the moment. I feel that if SLoT is able to gain entrance into the Tiers, this will speak well for us, proving that SLoT, after its years, has what it takes to start competing in the AAA leagues. And, yes, one final note. And I feel this is in terms of recruitment, our name does stand to bias. I know your very hard pressed about changing the name of this guild, but I feel that it is something that must be reconsidered. Thats all I gotta say for now... you can wake up now... /bonk

Saite
I got my piece out of KC...was told last night that I am going to get help in raising funds to get the scales since everyone in the game is being greedy and just wants to gather these to sell them instead of letting the bards have one for the epic when they attend the raids. Zugzuug has the horn I need so.....that just dropped me down to two fights from my epic. I need to keep an eye open for Phinny and go sweet talk Trakanon and then I will have my pretty sword and I dont have envy Khavi everytime I see her...hehe
Leanessa Sylverfoxx
All of you have some good points...Exp is best...and this is my reason for it...If you get your exp (without power leveling) then you also have exp in soloing and grouping.... I have attained my level by working for it...I did not get power leveled. I hope I know what is best for my char....exp wise...I have gotten this level to be able to do those 96 percent rez's that keeps everyone close to the exp that they were before they died.... My epic??? Well that is a long story...I have now tried 4 times to get my epic and am on the point of giving up... And it isn't because I don't want the epic..I would love to be able to rez all those corpses that I see laying around...if only to get them out of the way so I don't trip over them...rofl. And again I am at the very start of my epic....Lake Rathe again... And I am at the point that I hate to bother anyone to even try and help me with this epic anymore... Windiien is very patient and has helped me more than I can count....And My Thanks goes to him... But I am at the point that I feel that I am imposing on everyone to even try to plan working on my epic... But I am more than willing to help in anyway that I can to help others obtain their epics....so being a cleric that rez's most everyone and not accepting donations...I am not a wealthy cleric but I do have some plat that I donate to good causes...until I can find that Blue Strapless Gown...hehehe.. and of course I will group to help out with the healing and buffing and even some damage for those that need a group for their epics... Ok I have taken lessons from Votive here and seem to be rambling on now... I wish everyone luck and if you can plan a good group just send me an email or a tell in the game and I will be happy to assist as time allows...
