DATABASE PROGRAMMER

We are currently searching for a talented and experienced Database Programmer to join our team! This individual will develop and maintain infrastructure components for online games. Requires a broad base of knowledge with significant expertise in administration, development, and tuning of both application and database components as a unit. Primary technologies used: Oracle, Unix (Solaris & Linux) and C++.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Expertise in Software engineering principles - creating & documenting requirements, use cases, testing

DBA:

Oracle

Significant experience with instance and SQL level tuning

Significant experience with replication

Ability to setup instance from blank OS on Unix platforms

SQL Server

Database Programming:

Internal to Database

PL/SQL & T-SQL program units

SQL Tuning

External to Database

Able to create C++ wrappers for DB APIs

Multi-threaded programming in C++

Familiarity programming DB APIs in C++ like ODBC, OCI, OCCI, OTL, ProC, OLEDB

UNIX:

Basic Shell Scripting

Familiarity with Solaris & Linux

Programming:

3 - 5+ years experience with C/C++ and object oriented programming

Ability to build C/C++ applications in both Windows and Unix environments

Pluses:

Server programming - network programming experience

Perl/Python/Java
