Lord Ser Brightblade
Taken from a post Augur made on the UO.com boards Hello all! Very sorry for having been ghost-like for awhile, but I've been locked up in a cave working until my eyes bleed! ^_^Plant updates for Scenario 5, which is planned for next week : 1) Plant menu update. All the stuff you remember from my last posts on the topic. Menus consolidated into 1 main menu and the reproduction menu. Potion buttons automatically search your pack for the potion and use it (this includes Potion Kegs, which are also targetable with the generic Water Button cursor). "Day of Growth" indicator (shows which Growth Level your plant is in (most useful for the pollination days, where the look of the plant doesn't change). "Last Growth" indicator (shows what happened last time the plant attempted to grow). Change to seed and resource display #'s (now shows current/max possible left). 2) "Known Seeds" (seeds produced by a self-pollinated plant now have the plant type as well as color/brightness when you single-click on them). So a seed from a bright red snake plant that was self-pollinated (either manually or automatically) would say "a bright red snake plant seed" when you click on it. 3) New plant resource. Gotta discover which it is and what it does! ^_^. In addition to newly planted plants of the correct type, all old plants that would be able to produce this new resource will automatically start producing it if they're in the right stage and ready. Plants will be able to grow them starting the *2nd* week of the Scenario. So don't be confused if new/old plants don't grow anything new in the 1st week. 4) Extra secret bonuses for plant lovers! I'm sure some people have some ideas from various places, but I'm not saying any more! ^_^ And I think that's it for plants in Scenario 5. There's also tons of other cool stuff in this Scenario that everyone should enjoy. And now I must venture back into my dark dank cave and reattach my chain and get back to coding! I'll try to be around the boards more as the Scenario content gets released, to answer any issues/important questions that crop up. Take care folks! And happy gardening! Augur Looks like a ton of great additions and a surprise or two! Cheers to Aug for updating and easing the plant system as well as working to enhance such a wonderful thing.
