Steel DarKnight
I journey the land for what may be my last time. I had expected a joyous time of comradery and of adventure. The last adventures of a young warrior whom has prematurely become old. What I have found…is something much different. What I see,… infighting…Old scores to settle…battles for power and control. Conflicting ideas…..Some not for good of group but to fill ones own agenda. To fight just to fight it seems I will say this to all. PgoH was built by many whom are here, and many whom are not… Countless hours of work. I myself have worked, toiled many hours to add my name to this legacy. I hope my efforts have found me worthy to be recognized as such. Yes PgoH is an ancient order that will stand forever if not ingame…in many hearts. Now to business as far as the events of today so far. Too all sides. You selfishly jeopardize the work of our ancestors in this conflict, and I for one do not appreciate my efforts being torn asunder by petty issues that could, and should be discussed rationally by adults. Compromise and seek the middle road. We have a guild with tradition. We have a good group of smart, honorable, and loyal people. We have a codex that was intended to settle these matters. And in summary. Grow up
Elathiel
I must say that I agree. I thought when we JUST had an issue such as this .. ie. a dispute between members, that it was supposed to be handled by going to the leadership. If your issue is with someone in the leadership, then go to the Emporor himself if you have to. If your issue is with the Emporor himself, well, no clue on that one lol. Plain and simple though, it really shouldnt be brought out for all to see. Take it up between you and the appropriate person so it becomes the past. kodoz
I am with Steel and was one of the few who actually understands the entirety of the full situation. Had I known anything I have said or have done might end up in this, I may not have done it. But to let us be rent asunder by a petty (and everything in this game is petty compared to being friends, and actually enjoying it) argument. But If I had to do it again, i wouldve done the same. Know this. Kodoz will stand for what he thinks is right, even if he stands alone. Kodoz will work as hard as he can to get this solved and finished. And above all Kodoz will do his best to preserve the friendships of all to all. Please help us in this. Thank you

Wolf
Steel, Isn't there a new technology allowing for high speed internet connection via carrier pigeon . Hope all goes well with your move and hopefully you'll find a way to stay in this grand world we call UO. Now as for recent events within the guild, and many of us have seen these types of scenarios play out before, I'd like to make a few comments. I am not commenting to berate anyone, nor discipline anyone, but to pass along some of my own thoughts with respect to the world we live in both in game and out. I have held many positions within the guild starting from Legionnaire to Squire to Knight to Centurion to Imperator and Senator of War. Now with my playtime being limited, as an Ancient which is more of an advisory role that exists outside of the Legion chain of command, so you can all take from this whatever piece of wisdom you feel it may confer. UO is a game, albeit I have come to know and respect many individuals through this game. I say the wor individuals because I am referring to the people behind the pixels and characters that are represented in game. Many of these people, myself included were looking for something in this game that they could relate to, associate with and enjoy. For me this was found in PGoH. I was in a number of guilds as a "newbie" but none of them had the same level of structure, dedication and maturity thatPGoH did. The scope of this guild and The Honor Empire itself grew from the personal dedication of its founders and its members into what exists today. I have said the following to numerous people through personal talks via ICQ or in game talks....The one thing that we should all do when faced with situations with which we don't agree or take exception to is stop, take a breath and think. The nature of online gaming makes it easy to react first and think later. Let's face it, you're staring at a monitor that is composed of a bunch of different pixels. But those pixels represent someone. There is somebody on the other side that faced with some of the same choices you have as pertains to this game. Ask yourself one question before proceeding with anything thatwould impact that person on the other end personally. That question is ..How would I handle this if I was sitting face to face with this person in the real world? I guarantee that in most cases 90% of game issues wouldn't result in anything more than a short conversation before shaking hands and going to have a beer. Unfortunately the virtual world doesn't allow for that same personal interaction. It's too easy to say, I quit, or shove it, or walk away. Take a minute to think on why we as individuals play this game. I'll jump to my professional life for a second to sum up this rant. 99% percent of the time it's not the message, but rather how it's delivered. There's a way to go about doing everything, both in game and in life. Here is a quote from a motivational picture I have hanging on the wall in my office: "Watch your thoughts for they become words. Choose your words for they become actions. Understand your actions for they become habits. Study your habits for they become your character. Develop your character for it becomes your destiny" Some may think that's over the top, but put in perspective to you as an individual on a day to day basis. So, for those that read this lon winded message, thank-you. If you gained anything from it, excellent. If it didn't, well it's only my viewpoint and we all ultimately make our own choices on how we live our lives. Now, Let's go have some fun.
