mcmichael
here are a couple issues i think need to be addressed 1- too many trivial requests for rezzes and ports....ppl will tend to ignore them if there are too many too often.last night, for some reason shawdar had a rez he felt he needed,he got no response at all untill he was upset and let it show in guild...shawdar rarely asks for such things in guild,so it was important to him. 2-lack of any response to lfg's and call for help, the answers to lfg for me personally have picked up...seems to have picked up for others too...lets get ppl to atleas respond,a sorry group full atm,but if you are still lfg later....that would make a world of difference to ppl... i know these things have been discussed in channel, but some hear later than others,so i thought that this would be a good way for them to see what i have noticed thanks mcmikahl
Lotara
You make some good points McM. I, myself, do not usually respond to such things unless I can help. I think that is the wrong attitude to take and I will try to start answering them even if it is to say "sorry in a group atm" or "sorry group full atm" or "sorry working on skills atm". As a low 48 Cleric I also knew they did not want a 75% Rez. Those higher than me wanted a 96% rez which meant that they were in higher level places than I could successfully get to. So, rethinking this topic now that I have 90% Rezzes, I am still a coward who has not been to a lot of places and therefore am scared to death to go there alone. As much as I hate going into a new area, the time has come to explore my horizons. I have spent too much of my time in HH, HK, and Echo. Could the guild help me and others by having Experience Raids during the week into new areas. Maybe start with level 30s zones, then level 40s zones, then level 50s zone, etc. Leveling up as we go into new zones. That way guild members could explore these areas in a more safe grouping and we could get higher levels to support the lower levels until our time comes. And people that are experienced in those zones to show us the best and worst spots. I see very few high level clerics (>50) playing these days. And when they are on they are usually in a group. It is very hard for a cleric to drop their group to go do a Rez. And clerics that are trying to get experience don't want to be continually interrrupted out of their great groups - and neither do the other players in that group. I feel that guild members should first try in-zone Rezzes. Any other people in that zone to help with that rez or summond corpse? I try to help in-zone rezzes if people will bring their corpse to me (that way I can stay in my group) or if group allows, go to zone line for Rez. But to go into the middle of a zone that has mobs 5 to 15 levels above me is out of the question in my mind. I know that I will die. I have to solo greens or maybe light blues. This is where corpse recovery teamwork is needed. I have used both Tara (Bard) and Zann (Cleric) to help people find and rez their corpses. And usually a druid or two also. And of course a handy Warrior or other tank to make sure they are safe (or at least safer). Or used a Necro to summond corpse to zone line. So many people are involved in CR. My only solution to this is in the Guild Friends/Alliances. If I knew who our friends/alliances are, I could help with their Rezzes (in-zone) and they could help with ours. My fourth thought was that the Guilds minimum age limit is 35, why should I to into another zone to rez anyone under that age. My final thought was that this gets back to me or my guild. It seems that I am on one end of this continum and the guild is on the other end. I want to level and get loot. The guild wants me to help others and work together. The first I cannot do by myself and need the guild to help me; while the second cannot/willnot help me without my help in helping others. If we are going to be an Ubber Guild, then we have to learn to work together and care about one another. And part of the caring is helping someone with a Rez or a player LFG. So back to my first paragraph. I will try and communicate better with guild members (not just on what great loot is out there) about where I am and what I am doing. I will try to help out level 35 and above with Rezzes and Groups. And I will support the Guild as my limited time playing EQ will permit. Shawdar
As to the Rez i had requested that night, I got upset for one reason and one reason only I asked for help with a rez, I asked for 50% or better I asked 5 times When I asked there was 6 guild cleric's loged on 5 min later an still no answer /who all guild now only two clerics loged on /guild thanks for all the help /OOC Donating 500p for a rez at zone in to Sirens /guild Some rude comment made to guild clerics at this point some one no longer in the guild tells me that they will do the rez, oh but after the rez I'm told that the Clerics do not owe me anything, and that I should not expect help, that most clerics are very busy. that night I #### near left the guild I have offers to join some of the best guilds out there, my reputation as a vry skilled player is well known, but I would like to Slot become a great guild where lvl 60's consider it a good offer to join the guild, if a lvl 60 can not find a rez in the guild with out causeing a uproar why would they even begin to want to join this guild, the total lack of no responce to my request and the fact that a number of those clerics loged off after my request was made is what pissed me off that night do the clerics in this guild owe me anything? no they dont owe me any thing at all, as a fellow guild meber I would think they would help or at least respond with in "good group right now" or doing something, as for me I will no longer ask the clerics in the guild for a rez. "text seen in PoK and Nexsus" /ooc Donating 500p for rez in X-Spot.... Pls send tell
Leanessa Sylverfoxx
I am sorry that you had to go outside the guild for a rez....and your right...you shouldn't have to go outside the guild for help...that is what the guild is for ....Isn't it??? But please consider....is the cleric in a group?? is the cleric trying to get supplies??? is the cleric trying to get logged off??? is the cleric worn out??? Did the cleric even see the request for help??? There are plenty of times that I log Lea on and the first thing I get is a tell requesting a rez....or several tells....and if possible I do that... When I am trying to get supplies or just moving from one place to another....I get tells requesting rez's....apparently because I am in the Nexus or in SH...I am free...I have nothing better going on....so I must be able to run to Who knows where to do this rez for the person requesting the rez... Most of the responses that I get to I am sorry I am trying to log this char..."It will only take 5 mins" The least amount of time for a cleric...unless the cleric is already in that area...is a min of 30 mins.... So take that minimum of 30 mins from a group or from logging out...into consideration.... And I would like to add....send a tell to a cleric in the guild...or if necessary all the clerics on...ask if they are very busy at the time....sometimes I don't see guild chat for a good while...but tells tend to stand out better....and I can catch most of them...and can answer them after a fight or whatever is going on at the time... As to the plat....even offering 500 plat for a rez....How many times have I accepted plat for a rez??? Especially for a guild member? Instead...how about "Hey Lea...I just died in such and such a zone...would it be possible to meet me some place and I can show you where the corpse is....would you mind Take my word for it....I would die trying to get to you to rez you....and have...I have gone to zones that I am KOS in to rez people...but how about trying to make sure that the cleric can get to your corpse first....and hopefully without dying on the way... Feeling very much unappreciated, Leanessa Nobleheart
Lotara
Hello, you all made good points, but why are you not making them in the General Forum instead of the Leaders Forum? That way we can get more people envolved in this discussion. Regards, Zann
