Lord Ser Brightblade
Taken from something Sanio posted: As a balance for a reduction in damage done to pets, the hit point values for pets was intended to be lowered by approximately 40%. In some cases, the hit point reduction has been much more than that. A solution for this excess Hit Point loss is scheduled to be published that should fix the problem for all pets, both pre-and post-AoS. (Curious as to why creatures’ Hit Points changed? Combat prior to AoS utilized two damage scales Humans that damaged other humans inflicted “100%” of their damage range—the “human scale.” Humans that damaged creatures inflicted twice the human scale—the “creature scale.” Over the years, UO’s creatures were given double Hit Points that accommodate for the extra damage. To oversimplify the situation: A human might hit for 50 points against another human, but against a creature that same hit would do 100 points of damage. Now, with AoS, all humans and creatures [animals, monsters, and pets] use the same damage scale. Every creature within UO needed adjusting, and was determined that a 40% Hit Point cut was appropriate [technically making all creatures slightly more resilient than before!].) Changes should be in effect after shard maintenance. WHich means by the time you guys read this it should have happened.
