Doom Champ spawn question

Does anyone know or have they read anywhere how to activate the spawn on the other side of the ferryman crossing? Is it just a random spawning occurence or can you create a planned excursion with a group to activate it? If anyone knows this answer, please share it with the group as it is useful information should we be arranging a guild outting to combat this monster spawn and hunt down it's prized loot.

Wolf i can answer those questions. First, there is always one gauntlet champ out. It doesnt matter if an army is there or if noone is there, there is always one and only one. Second, which champ you fight is usually determined by the one who was beaten last. If noone fights them for a while, it changes champs. I dont know how long that while isthough. Third, Chyloth takes across ONLY your party members and ONLY if you tell him to. Fourth, once youre inside the champ room, you cant run out. You are stuck unless you recall or die. Lastly, each champ is able to have its own special abilities that make them harder or different. The champ who is named something, The dark father, will hurl daemon bbones at everyone inside. If you get hit, not only does it deal damage, once it hits the ground after bouncing off your head it spawns a monster. He runs faster than a person on a horse with no lag as well. The only other champion i know much about in the gauntlet is Skred. He is a monstrous patchwork skeleton like critter, with big blades for arms. Every hit he deals does a random special combat move. He hit me once, bleed attack, and again nearly instantly mortal strike. They are all ridiculously hard, and youre screwed unless you have a way of disappearing, ie magery to inviz or hiding. So be prepared, and be prepared to die there

Thanks for the feedback KD, but I have been over twice now where there was no spawn at all. Not in any of the rooms and not in the main room. stayed on the other side for several hours with nothing other than the echo of my footsteps. So in these cases, how would the spawn be activated as there was nothing to beat on, nothing to kill and basically nothing to do.

err...huh? thats something you gotta talk to the gms about, because its supposed to ALWAYS have one of the champs there unless the super gauntlet champ is out, but i still thought he had to be in one of those rooms...
