Steel DarKnight
As Sunsword promised (and after several weeks of brainstorming on the message boards with Vex and the team), we would like to offer an in-game gift as a way of showing our appreciation for all those players who've made this one of the busiest times in UO's history, as well as a way of offering something out of consideration for anyone who’s gone through a revert or other problem caused by the high traffic during the Age of Shadows launch. The gift will consist of two parts, and will be distributed per character, not per account. This means each character will receive Item #1 and Item #2 (see below). The actual date for these gifts has not yet been decided, but players should expect to see these come to the game in one of our upcoming publishes (basically, once we’re out of immediate bug-fixing mode). Item #1 For the first item, players can choose one of the following things: tunic surcoat jester suit sash robe plain dress fancy dress kilt skirt half apron full apron sandals shoes boots thigh boots cloak rose (for those who would prefer not to choose a wearable) Next, the player will be able to choose from a selection of inscriptions to engrave on the item, which will include the character’s name. Lastly, the player will be able to select a hue for the item from a selection of unusual hues. Choose wisely, because the item cannot be dyed once selected! This item (Item #1) will be blessed, and will be transferable between characters. Item #2 In addition to whatever they choose for Item #1, each character will be able to choose from the following: A scroll good for +5 to any skill of the player’s choice (This will act as an immediate 5 point skill gain in any skill. It will not raise a skill over its current skill cap.) A scroll good for +5 to their stat cap These items will be usable only once, and the effects will be permanent. These scrolls will be non-transferable, meaning it will only work for the original character who claimed it. Remember, each character will get two gifts! Item #1 can be traded, but Item #2 will only work for the claiming character, and will be consumed on use.
Winter Wind
I read through all of the suggestions and even added some myself. Sorry to see not a one of my ideas made the list. Oh well. I'm glad they came up with something to give out. 2 things at that! I know a lot of people are ranting and raving about it, but it is something nice that OSI is doing for us the players. I can't complain about that. I belive I will get the rose for Winter, not sure about the rest of the family though.
Raistlin_wind
I agree Winter it is nice that they are giving out something for what ever problems have been caused kinda like an i am sorry gift. But i have no clue what my family will decide they will want.

Chris
two words: STAT SCROLLS!!!
Balandar
Heheheh, yeah. Not sure.. Either a +5 spirit speak or a +5 stat scroll.. The stat scroll wouldn't give that much, but been looking for one forever (would be nice to have 100 str again), that along with a smithy scroll (which I WILL get for my smith). For the first gift I am thinking sandles, or a robe. Wolf should think about getting the rose (that or a bath).
Wolf
Depending on the colors for the clothing, you can outfit your main charachter with some nice clothing based on it being per character and not per account.
Lord Ser Brightblade
I hope the stat scroll will work on top of a +25 that I have already used. If it can't thats a huge bummer and I hope that NPCs will buy them for good gold as noone else will once the rewards hit. Sure could use an extra 5 on my tank. Prometheus
I would probably go for the sandals, since they are the only clothing item listed there that cannot be dyed with ANY color, much less "unusual" shades And the +5 stat scroll, definately something I wanted. kodoz
YOUVE USED A +25 STAT SCROLL?!?!?!??!!?!??!If anyone gets a stat scroll and doesnt need it, ill pay for it if needed...
Lord Ser Brightblade
Yes I did. I payed dearly for it and it was given at a discounted price by the good soul who had it find me. If only we could muster the forces to take down Oaks the guild would be able to aquire scroll and ensure that all the legion be pumped with stats. Pride
To many things to choose from that is always my problem *Smiles* I think the Stat scroll is a definate for most peoples characters but now does it add 5 to your stats like the skills or does it just raise your cap and you have to get the stats yourself? Oh and as far as the Lord of oaks I think that would be a great guild outing now since the person who does the most damage gets the skull there is no looting involved. I think it sould be a plan, *beckons lora* *Laughs*
