Rumblebore
Those who were there know what happened. We worked our way to the room just before the Princes Pull room. The decision was made to leave. Then the decision was made to use summoning to get people out. People were told to gate and then to wait. The Druids were sent out in order to come abck (or something wierd I didn't understand this at all). That left no one to take the non-porter/gaters out except Lyythos. He was to go to the entrance while being in zanths group, then zanth would invite us one by one, Lyythos would summon us one by one, we would drop out, etc. And I got pissed off. We had at least 2 or 3 Druids, we were leaving, why didnt we use them to port us all out at once? safely?. The way in was wonderfully easy, the mobs went down and we lost a few peeps, but we kept going. Slowly, yes, and the repops in there are fast.. Quite a challenging zone. I strongly recommend we return and learn that place time and again. But then, the fiasco hit - the Train came and we had no way to even evac out. I called for clerics to camp, but it was too late. The mobs even saw through FD's. Wipeout. Except for Zanth who is ally to them all. Well, we learned a valuable lesson. Plan the way out as well as the way in. Use the resources we have at hand, don't try to be clever with higher level spells. Safety first. Yes I stood up as an officer and made this an issue. But too late, the druids were all gone. If any flak comes from this - send it at me. I know several of you agree, but some may not have liked the way I jumped in. That is okay. Final assessment - Lets do that again, without the summoning out - lets just group the melees and port out. It really was a fun evening up until that final fiasco. Night all. Nurlaten
This is all basically my fault, i planned the raid and then left zanth in change because i had to log. Apparently i erred in my judgement and it led to this fiasco. Zanth is very knowledgable about chardok and a skilled necro, apparently he isn't meant to run a raid is all. I should have done a lot of things differently on this, i was going to just call it, but decided against it and put my trust in zanth running it. The not having druids port out is very dumb, to put it bluntly. Was the plan to have the druids come back to chardok and pick people up, i really don't get it. Zanth really likes coth (call of the hero), he used it to get people across an easy zone like BW, which i thought was a waste of gems, but let him do, because it was his raid then. I logged on EQIM to check up and all i saw was chaos, vale told me no one was in groups, it was just ffa, that shouldn't happen on a raid. All i saw in raid chat was move to zanth because of repops. Like i said in my post about the raid, this isn't an easy place. We do need to go back and hopefully actually get to the mobs. I hope you all learned something about here and can put it to good use in the future. I'm sure this raid left a bitter taste in a lot of people's mouths, and i apoligize for not being at my own raid. Rumblebore
OK, Nurlaten, this Raid WAS very fun and a great time for me. I learned by reading how important it was to kill mobs fast and go forward, yet I saw how slow we were to do this. That said a lot about where we are. It was a good time to learn and good to know. That is why I said we need to go back - we need to hone our killing ability. Fast and efficient. Thank you for introducing me to Chardok. Next, the way out was the ONLY real issue I had. Sending the druids out was not good raiding practice. I was too late to stop it. Nurl, that something came up that prevented you from coming is just something that happens - no fault or blame is being set on you. Once Zanth took over, he became responsible. So he made an error. Maybe he is more used to soloing or grouping with a few people, not a full raid. I don't know. We learned a lot, at least I did. I just raise this issue so that we never repeat such actions again. Thank you for stepping up and planning the raid. The use of summoning is a great idea, but I do know it is costly. Druid ports are less costly. Again, we learn how to be efficient and maximize our resources. Don't beat yourself up on this. if you feel you need a good A---kicking, see me next time we are on together. We'll get that over with and then you can go back to becoming a great raid leader.

Is this a challenge to a duel? :knight: vs Rumble -> <- Nurl I understand completly what you said, but i still feel responsible, it was my raid. You can try to convince me otherwise, but i'm as stubborn as a dwarf.
