Greg
Got me copy o' Shadowbane.....some problem though......the graphics are all blinky whacky.....told CCR.....guess they will E-Mail me. My first impressions are hopeful. The multiple menus are a little confusing but I'm getting the hang of it. Gotta break the habits of UO interface......hehe. Hopefully my technological woes will be solved soon and I'll be bashing more tiger serpents and ants!

Balandar
Just setup your macros in SB the same as UO. So if F4 is recall, use that for Recall in SB. Or if F9 is flamestrike, have that an offensive spell... etc.

Hothgorn TheBlack
Hm...where to start..... Well, go to your Video card manufacturers website and download the latest video drivers for your card. The old drivers may not be compatible with later versions of direct x 8.1 or above. Upgrade to higher version of Direct X (at least 8.1) Free up some of your memory, 256mb ram may seem alot, but your using a sizable chunk of it. Defrag, Just cause its a good habit. You need to tell what operating system you're using, I'm afraid Windows 4.9 (version 3000) doesn't tell me much. I'm assuming 98 2nd considering the specs on your system. Your system IS usuable, just needs some tweaking. -Hothgorn TheBlack
Wolf
Woot, well as Bal, Martok and a few others know, I was able to get into SB yesterday. Was fortunate to meet a very good group out adventuring and levelled up to level 15 in about 7 or so hours. Going to stay home today to continue. Martok, I had to return to my tree of life on newbie island after getting killed so I'm not guilded anymore. Going to stay here until I hit 2nd rank, which will hopefully be today if I'm lucky. Then I'll come out into the big bad world Char Name: Vankor the Wolf
Balandar
Just look at it this way. If SB had Great graphics, half the people would be unable to play.

Greg
Ok, Installed latest drivers and DirectX. The problem that caused the terrain to flicker seems to have fixed itself. Now I have a new problem.... The screen looks as though its been cut in two and the sides switched around. There is also some graphic nonsense at the top of the screen. Wolf
with the latest patch there should now be a SB config executable file in your Shadowbane folder. Run that prior to logging into shadowbane. It will ask you for what kind of config. I selected the option for older lower end vid cards and it fixed my graphic problems and crashing
