Shansa said that she has done the trials as a 62 cleric. I'm guessing that that cleric is not in SLoT, but would there be a way to work with that cleric's guild to get us flagged? I have only tried 5 times so far, but we were just so close and I really want to get my flag for PoV. Just a thought I wanted to put out there. I'd love to start getting that super exp.

I understand not wanting to use another guild, but has thought been given to making an alliance with another guild? Well I guess that is for another topic. Let's see what we can do about the trials first! I have a few 60+ friends who could help as well.

History:

About 11 months ago, 5 officers from SLoT left the guild and joined an upstart high-end guild leaving Eldy and the team in a lurch. Those 5: Baldaek, Defeu, Huddig, Seria, Twurp are all still in Formidable (except Twurp who just left the game last week). There had been some unsettling things that had taken place just prior to our leaving, the exact details are unimportant. Needless to say, Formidable, in light of the most recent defections, is not on the Most Favored Guild list these days, though I think that, too, will pass. Afterall, I know first-hand that Formidable does not actively recruit, so there's not much sense in being angry at an entity rather than the persons who made the decision to leave.

As a guild, SLoT has historically had decent relations with Ridgerunners and a few now defunct guilds (one of who was absorbed into SLoT).

Be careful with whom you associate, talk amongst the high-enders is cheap and accusations abound.

actually i have no harsh feelings for that reason if u would like me to speak my grudge i gladly will. I was invited to attend hate raid when Formidible was still young, in which i was told if my epic piece dropped i would have the chance to roll. My epic piece did drop twice but there were no rolls that day instead they went to two Rangers in Formidble that were not at the raid. Secondly they were also for alts of officers in the guild my respect for them went out the window after that. Secondly they ninja looted a shard away from Alt in SF. i do know some players in Formidible and they are my friends but i will not associate with the guild as a whole!

So which guilds are our official allies? I have connections with 2 or 3 higher lvl guilds, through real-life friends and former guildmates. Lvling is still the most important thing, I believe, but for those of us who are getting higher, this will provide an easier way to exp as well as help out the lower levels. A friend of mine who has done the trials said that there are 5 main classes you need in the trials group, as long as they are all higher lvl and have good dps, and that the 6th slot in the group can be whatever. That is how his guild got a lvl 46 chanter their PoV flag. Well, I will leave it in the officer's hands, and if you need my help recruiting people to help, then let me know.

  • 2 weeks later...

After watching 4 level 50's get flagged last weekend, I decided to find out how it was done. They went through, 1 per group, in level 60+ AE groups, where the 6th member is immaterial.

The AE groups usually consist of the following:

1 Cleric 61+ Must have Supernal Remedy (62 is better with Supernal Elixer (Low aggro heal for 2K))

1 Enchanter 61+ CC is a must, not mezzing, but AE Stuns - Tash is good on boss mob

or

1 Bard 63+ AE CC as you get 4 level 55 mobs attacking at once

1 or 2 Wizards/Mages 60+ with AE DD spells - Wizards are best here, but I have done this with a Necro w/pet too

1 Main Tank - 60+ Warrior or 63+ Ranger/Paladin/SK or 61+ Monk/Rogue AE taunt AA skill is a definite plus here, especially if the cleric or chanter is getting beaten on.

1 Extra whatever - Usually a Druid who can banish summoned. This may be needed when grouping, as the executioner gets closest to the prisoner a summoned is banished, thus resetting the executioner and granting more time for the rest of the group to kill the other 3 mobs.

I have a plan to get this done for Shan this coming weekend. I hope to have a different report for you on Monday or Tuesday.

I'm going to try again also. When I was there before, I was lvl 57 and had no disadvantage. Our only downfall was the mage going LD and the druid then getting the aggro away from the tank, which ended in the deaths of us all. I think our breakdown was me (57 cleric at the time), 64 druid, 62 chanter, 65 warrior, 61 mage, and I can't remember the other, but it was some type of melee. We did very well and almost completed the 3rd trial before everything went wrong :cheeburga: Those of us who are higher levels should really try doing this soon. I can still get that druid (65 now) and that enchanter to help, and can also try to for the 65 warrior. However, there always seem to be people there lfg, so getting others shouldn't be a problem. The 10% exp bonus on PoV would be quite nice, as well as the drops :0 Once I get to 60, only 70% left! hehe, and in 11 aa, I will have my improved healing as well as a 100% rez (although I can only use that rez like every 36 hours or something horrible like that). I guess no rush on this for the guild yet, though, since too many would be too low to actually fight in the tier 2 planes, but we should definitely keep this on the table and try and find out as much information as we can on the "perfect" grouping situation.

I have always been a huge fan of keeping good relation with otherguilds, dispite differances. I have rather close friends within several guilds as well close relationships with the Guild leaders of some of the smaller ones. Some of my friendships are with guilds that are very reputable, and some not so reputable. But i do now have 2 very close frineds in Silent Resurgance, and a few higher lvl friends that would be willing ot come help as a favor to me.. if you need some high-lvl help, let me know, i have a 65 druid (who now has MGB) and a 65 mage that i could have to help with very little trouble.. as well has a 60 somthing cleric. Just wanted to put that out... :knight:
