KhioTong
As head of state, it is my duty to investigate your requests to look into conflicts between yourself and other guild members, guild leadership and conflicts of interest. I must then solve them to the liking of both parties involved. In the matter of Doddz, I had received a request for the re-entry of "PGoH Armory" under the sanction that he had been wrongfully dismissed. I requested and received information from both parties and after my initial investigation, several questions arose: 1. Do the actions of the individual -affect that person's alternate characters? and: 2. If an individual is punished -are their alternates equally affected? Since the codex did not address these concerns to my satisfaction, I presented them to the Council of Honor for debate. After some discussion, the following measures were passed, in hopes of preventing any future misunderstandings: "Any destructive NON-RP communication, via ICQ, AIM, party-chat, etc.. shall be considered and dealt with accordingly, by the law of the codex." "Any destructive behaviors committed and the consequences that follow, shall be reflected onto the person committing those behaviors and their known alternate characters -equally and accordingly." With this new measure, a new document is currently being drafted to define and outline destructive behaviors (according to the codex), their severity, and the relationship between the effect on the character committing those behaviors and their alternates. Since these measures directly reference Doddz’s circumstance: the petition for the re-entry of "PGoH Armory" can no longer be recognized. Being under the control of Doddz, "PGoH Armory" shall not be re-admitted into the empire of PGoH. While the contributions of "PGoH Armory" have been significant, the behaviors associated and leading up to this inquiry cannot be discounted -and were found to be unbecoming of a purple guardian and in violation of codex law. I feel confidant that many of you are probably thinking that the council is now turning into a giant head chopping block and that you now have to watch what you say, and be extra careful or else you may get kicked out of the guild.. or that the council will just create a new measure to insure your dismissal. The truth is, if you find the irrational need to be obscene or you feel the need to violate someone else's character -for any reason, then honestly, PGoH is not the place for you. The purpose of the council is to discuss the current state of the empire and to make decisions in order to foster the positive community and environment that the guidelines of the codex envisions. If you have any questions about this ruling, please contact me at: ICQ#52593817.
LukkanMortain
Question: How do you set up a new amendment to the codex and have it affect a previous incident??
Lord Logan
That was not the case Lukkan...the Doddz issue was voted on first. The non-rp media was just a clarification of the codex. Logan
Chris
Punishments are given to the person who violates the codex. If a character violates the codex that character is punished. If the person behind the character violates the codex the person behind the character receives the punishment. The codex has always stated that party chat and ICQ are meant for OOC communication, so any conflict over those channels is between the players and will be handled as such. It's been that way the whole time I've been with PGoH.
