Zemach
Last night I finally got around to trying to set up a survey macro. Ctrl+A to bring up abilities and commands. Choose the Macro tab and creat a new Macro. You get to name it and pick an icon. The text of the macro I used was like this. /sample;/pause 400;/sit;/pause 150;/kneel; I then repeated this as many times as I could fit. Drag the icon to a hot key and you are ready to go. I have heard that you can do it without repeating the line over and over, but it wouldn't work for me. I woke up with tons of steel in my inventory Depending on your race and class, the pause times will need to be adjusted.
Jas
Sesh, you're a genius! I love that they have incorporated this into the game, so it doesn't seem cheesy to use it. For anyone who wants to try it, I'll post the particulars I worked out for myself, to give you an idea for the wait times. I have: Action 800, Quickness 425, and Stamina 375. I tweaked my wait times to maximize efficiency, and find that 350 and 180 work perfectly for me. So, my repeated command line looks like this: /sample;/pause 350;/sit;/pause 180;/kneel; Jagleh
Balandar
How do you get samples themselves? What skills are needed and what tools? Could I macro Bal at night to do this?
Zemach
You need an appropriate survey tool to do the surveying. I am not sure if you need Novice Artisan to do this or not? Has anyone tried to Survey without Novice Artisan?
Martok
You have to be novice artisan.
Balandar
How do you copy/paste? Or did you type that macro in over and over?
Zemach
I tried to map text copy and paste functions in the game, but for some reason I couldn't get it to work, so I just typed it in over and over again.
