Daav_Teirson
I will bring this up in the meeting on Sunday, but for those that may not being able to make it I decided to post this. As I have not been with this PA that long I've noticed ITC's numbers growing at an alarming rate. This is good in my opinion, there is power in numbers. One thing I have noticed, is that there is no Rules of Engagement to guide us in our GCW against the Rebel Alliance. I'm sure for myself and other members, that have been with ITC for quite some time, understand the conduct that our glorious leader Savrem wishes us to portray. As our numbers grow within ITC it will be harder for our new members to understand the conduct ITC demands us to follow. I don't assume that Savrem and the other leaders have not already discussed creating Rules of Engagement for the PA. I"m just merely bringing it to everyones attention. I do know that ITC's reputation as an honorable PA must be held in the eyes of everyone including the Rebel Alliance. I don't expect everyone to aggree with that, but at least have honor in the art of conflict and war, if not for your opponent. I disagree with camping Cloning Facilities, and spawn killing (example: Sitting around a starport killing opposing factions while they're logging in. They have no control over their avatars therefore no chance to defend themselves. Many players do not know what cities are ruled by which faction.) I consider such actions cheap and dishonorable and will refuse to associate myself (or my avatar) to any player that does so. This is also a game, ladies and gentleman, EVERYONE is to have fun. Lets keep that in mind. I shall now get off my soap box. Thank you.
Zandahl
Well stated Daav! I would like to see this issue discussed further and clarified for all members of the guild. I realize that my own sense of honor and decorum might not be shared by everyone in the guild. I would however like to see a standard code of behaviour established concerning key issues like griefing.
Jas
Agreed. We have not made explicit rules in this regard, just a general rule to be mature (which I think implies the things you stated, not camping cloning facilities, and not camping shuttle/starports, etc.). We definitely want to have a good reputation as a respectable (and respectful), fun-loving PA. We have thus far dealt with issues of this nature (for example, the PA hall that went up way too close to ours a few weeks ago, as you may remember) on a case-by-case basis. Good manners can be hard to state clearly as rules, but are easy to understand if you can just feel what's right. When in doubt, it's safe to ask in guild chat, I think. And, discussions at our weekly meeting (and here) are appropriate as well. Jagleh

Siluial
My Personal Code of Honor by Siluial Esme, Novice Doctor 1. Be polite. You don't have to like a person to be nice. 2. Never camp a Cloning Facility, Starport, Shuttleport, Cantina, or Medical Center -- There's a reason folks are in those areas and some, like the shuttle and starports keep your avatar in the game longer than you are actually aware ... Markham's told me a lot that he sees me in the game while I'm still waiting for the loading screen to finish. Only cowards and idjiots (not a typo) attack weaker/unaware people. 3. Never kill the doctor with the tef when he or she is in the med center. It's off limits anyways, but he's just doing his job. 4. Always come to the aid of a fellow Guildmate or Imperial. 5. Two conditions exist for not following rule 4. A. If the Imperial was an idjiot and picked a fight for kicks. You've seen them. Mostly I've seen this behavior in Rebels -- for those who were in Bela Vista on Corellia that time, you know exactly what I mean. Posturing, bad mouthing, generally being 2 year olds looking to proof how big and bad they are while 10 of their bestest friends goad them on. If an Imperial does this, or guildmate, he or she brings us all down. They get what they deserve. B. Incapacitated or Healing another Imperial 6. Help guildmates and friends out. Whether /tipping some money or handing over some resources. 7. Keep the Guild's rep in mind at all times. No bad mouthing fellow guildmates who irritate you. Especially not to other non-guildies. 8. Remember it's a game and have fun. When you stop having fun, time to log off and take a break. 9. Play nice with ALL the players in the game, even the rebels, at least through tells. In normal conversation and RP, being an opinionated Imp is a good thing. Death to Rebels! 10. When in doubt, refer to Rule 1. Not set in stone! But basically, this is how I play. I RP, have fun, but you know, I just don't get rude -- if I do, I'm having a bad day. And I have logged off by then usually =) We definitely need a 'guild rules of war' or something =) Woot! MArkham
I pretty much follow Si's list. The only thing that truely upsets me that I have not seen is I do not engage in dueling not just GCW in cantina's or med centers. It just annoys the people that are there.
