How to Find Mutation Cores!!!

First step is finding a Plague Beast Lord (PBL).

Locations so far...NW Forests of Cove..up to the mountains and down to the shore..be carefull many regular plague beasts and bog things.  Fire Isle.  And sometimes in the penninsula regions around minoc..Also the forest below the Yew Orc forte and near the NPC Red Fort has turned up a few as well.

THIS IS BEST DONE WITH 2 PEOPLE, ONE CUTTING, THE OTHER HEALING!!

Surgery...First Paralyze the PBL when encountered..I have found that once paralyzed it seems the timer starts, so do not paralyze untill ready..or if you had to paralyze it..such as more than one at a time..be sure to wait and let spell wear off and recast before beginning surgery..After paralyzed use a knife to open corpse..Than a gump of the PBL's innards should come up on yer screen.  The innards come in different types the main ones are..solid rocks..multiple looking rocks with diff colored veins attached..Iron maidens..and always on the left side a purple square looking thing that contains the desieased gland.

To open a solid rock use scissors on it after a second or two it will open in its center either revealing a brain..or nothing..if nothing blood will begin to well from the opening ...Bandages must be applied to the blood before it grows to big.  As for the multiple rocks with veins, you must cut each vein however do not cut the vein that matches the multiple rock thingies color. This will cause it to open either revealing one of the four colored brains or a blood welling spot.  The Iron maidens when opened by double clicking on them will reveal a brain or empty..if empty there will be no blood welling forth on this one.  In the center is a roundish object with for suction cups of four different colors on each side.  These cups will match the colors of the brains you find.  When you find a brain in one of the previously mentioned organs and remove it..blood will begin welling from the place it was removed and must be bandaged immediatly.  Once all 4 brains are in thier proper cups the center will open revealing the light blue mutation core.."looks like a brain"  Use yer scissors on this mutation core and it will appear in your backpacK!! Sucess.

NOTE:  Some PBL do not have 4 brains only 3 ...The purple organ as mentioned earlier on the left side has the diseased gland..it can be replaced with a healthy gland, revealing the 4th brain..However as healthy glands are rare unfortunatly this may mean you loose the Core on these 3 brained ones.

REMEMBER YOU ARE ON A TIME LIMIT

Once the cores have been extracted they need to be placed in the swirling mass of the plague trees..we believe around 20 cores is needed per tree.  One is cure but 4 still remain!!!! To place a core or one of the other 3 ingredients in a tree..double click on the swirling mass and a targeter will appear than click on the desired cure item to place inside

Very nice instructions on what needs to be done in order to gain what is needed to heal the lands!  I cant wait to try it.
