For those that want to get factory flagged in Poi, I say we do the quest to get the dragon to spawn. We have to turn in the items to this gnome(which I have) and he has to walk to another part in the zone. But the catch is we have to keep him alive and ourselves and let him spawn the dragon. The dragon can have some very awesome loot.

Then the fight is on. :p

Nitram's Collection is the quest that we start with to get into the factory.

And if we have a good showing so everyone can get flagged for the factory, we will be able to do the other flag quest once inside on a later date. It is Drunder, Fortress of Zek in Plane of Tatics. We would have to kill the Behemoth.

I'am thinking on Sunday the 16th between 12-4 depending on what time people say is best after I post it in the GMOTD. Please post it here also, thank you.

Ok all I am up for this but please Know that this is one Tough Mob... We will need a Perfect Cheal rotation and Alot of participation.... I am thinking 30 peeps. Krislor since its your idea work out the tactics and strategy please :D Woot lets do this... I wont say what level tier mob he is considered (no he wont change our Tier 1 status but hes a step in the right direction) since it may be daunting for some people.... Loot distriubution will be class useable Only need before greed with Officers making the final decision.... Based on current items... I would hope noone will object. Unless since it is Krislors raid he had another loot idea? :p sorry my bad

Loot is guild standard but I am hoping the main weapon drops because the tanks need that BADLY.

Tank needs to fight defensive right off and we will need at least a 3-8 second Cheal rotation or better depending on MA. So I think that means we will need at least 4-5 clerics, meaning 24-30 people. Not sure about that being I'm not a cleric.

The hard part about this is the crawl to the spawn point. Killing the dragon will take hopefully 10 mins but it all depends on how many people we have show. He hits for 1390 but he can be slowed.

The MA NEEDS to get aggro quick and I mean quick. His AE does about 800 and has a frontal spell AE that stuns. He also has an AE of snare.

The tatic we need is to get is to get the gnome to the doorway and then mez him, let everyone get rdy and then break the mez then mem blur him. The gnome would then go and wake the dragon. Another tricky part is to make sure the MA turns the dragon to make sure the gnome is not in the line of fire, since once dragon is defeated all in raid need to Hail the gnome to get flag.

So what we need is MA in front, rest of melee on side of him, everyone else in back and hopefully the aggro stays with the MA and the casters are safe in the back. Casters NEED to stay opposite of MA at ALL times. Once he is slowed the CH rotation is easier and then the clerics can focus on AE damage and do group heals.

I think I've researched and covered about everything. Let me know what was missed.

I also did some reaserch into this and alot of the posts state that if you mem-blur the gnome he will not flag you ( dont remember you killing the dragon ) I will continue to do reaserch on this raid. The rest of the info you have posted the right on target and should go well if everyone listens to you and does their job. :)

I've done this fight many times with my guild and can give you a few pointers. Fewest we've done it with is 18 of us, 2 clerics, 2 druids for the heals.

For your first try you are going to want close to 30 and an average raid level above 60.

If you don't have a tank with 6k hps raid buffed I don't know if i would bother trying, he hits hard and fast and can do 6k damage before you blink.

C-heals are a bad idea on this fight, the aoe stun can total screw them up. Spam fast casting heals and i mean spam. Pally's for group heals and mgb sotw (druid aa), paragon (BL aa) and EE (cleric spell, etheral elixir) are used to deal with the 800 dd aoe.

Xana doesn't have many hps, so the fight shouldn't take more than a couple minutes. If it does you risk healers going oom.

Pray you get him slowed early, set up a chanter for tash, shammy for malo, (expect the two of them to die) and then everyone that can slow, bards, BL, enc, shammy, need to get one off asap. His melee dps after slowed isn't anything to worry about, it's prior to the slow that sucks.

Getting to him takes about an hour, and I believe if you take to long the gnome depops. You need an enchanter to be the gnome's escort. He needs to be mezzed and memory blurred along the way so he doesn't just keep marching while your raid force kills the robots.

You can mez the gnome before he activates the dragon, just as soon as xana is spawned you need to leave him alone. Usually you remez and mem blur until your healers are ready, then wait for mez to wear off instead of breaking it.

The gnome will summon the dragon, which is one reason not to use cheals as the directional stun aoe usually ends up aimed at your healers. Gnome usually ends up dying from enrage, so have the tank watch for enrage and spin the dragon away from the gnome.

Expect to wipe the first few times, there is very little room for error. Atleast it's a pop zone, so you just need to wait on the graveyard for a CR.

Gnome is a 2 hour repop regardless of success or failure.

Hope this helps, fling me a tell if you have anymore questions. :)

Hey all,

I will be there and do what I can. I do have a couple small questions.

1. Before we start gnome along his path could I buy some stuff from him, this is a good time to do it becuase the area should pretty much be clear, and this would help me in my neverending twinkering quest.

2. I have a friend that would like to come along. Her name is Masochisma and is a 65 shammy. She does not want any loot she just wants to get flagged. Could ya please let me know so I can give her the news. Thanks :)

The more the merrier. It is a good time for everyone to get flagged. Just remember to all out there that guild gets first dibs on loot and its need before greed. :)

EDIT:

No problem on the gnome. Seems there are a lot of tinkering types out there. I'll wait till everyone is rdy before we get him moving.

I Completely Agree Krislor ALL are welcome as long as they understand this is a ML raid they need to listen to us and do what we tell them to do.... This is our first time we may not do it "the way Everyone else does" but please let us learn.... I dont want a hundred different tells during the raid... You need to do this you need to do that its just distracting... /agree with loot rules.

McMikahl had some tips to share with me:

1) NO AE attacks - Period. Dont even mem them.

2) Heavy on the Melee - highly preferred.

3) To make it a bit easier - pre-clear the way to the Dragon for the gnome to walk - saves time and effort in the long run.

------------------------------

The time of 12-4 PST makes it hard for rumble to make it on time. I have to be at a meeting right after church. I may not be in time to attend. Will see when I can get online.
