Soke
Ok. For those that don't know, I recently got a holocron (yay!). It told me Master Weaponsmith (boo!). So, now I am grinding my way to Master Weaponsmith. Hopefully, I'll get it before I tear my eyeballs out of their sockets for looking at a computer screen for way too long. Anyway. Since this is actually a useful skill, I want to make free weapons for every member of ITC that wants them. However....this is both a costly and time consuming thing. You guys can't help me with the time-consuming part (sigh), but the costly bit...maybe. To make kick arse weapons, I need special components. I won't be ready to take orders for another week or so...but it would be nice to have these components on hand when I am ready to. Listed below here: Krayt Dragon Tissue -- Tattoine Rancor Teeth -- Dathomir Vibromotors (from Droidekas) -- Lok Kilknik Glands (for munitions...not really super necessary unless anyone is a grenade chucker) -- Yavin Also, there are various NPC's who drop components as well, listed below: Bounty Hunter Marks (components may be inside locked containers) Dark Jedi Nym's Guys (Lok) Tusken Raiders (Hyper Feed Mechanisms) Now, I'm not complaining about the costliness of things...because I don't have to do this, but I am. I figured it out here... When I am crafting solidly (basically just doing that), I can go through 1K of steel in five minutes. When I'm a bit distracted (talking on chat channels, cat's being a little bastage, etc), it drops to about 1K of steel every ten minutes. So, that's roughly 6 to 12K of steel every hour, which translates into 12K to 24K of experience every hour (Good). However, (and most crafters can confirm this) even getting CHEAP steel...the price is about 3cpu...or, 1K of steel costs 3K of credits, so the numbers above translate into 18K to 36K of credits per hour. This ISN'T including the "special" types of materials I need...just grinding steel. Thanks to Sev (thank you!), I was saved from the cost for a little while cuz he gave me 150K of grinding steel. The special types I will list below in case you guys find a good deposit where your harvestors are or something. Some of these have cost way over 10cpu, and some below. Some I'm good on already, but could use better quality, and some I just can't find. Rhodium Steel: Got 500 currently Duralloy Steel: Got 1200 Ryll Amorphous Gemstone Diatium Copper: Got 500 Ostrine Carbonate Ore: Got 300 Phrik Aluminium: Got 1507 Irolumn Reactive Gas: Got 600 Quadranium Steel: Got 4500 (but could use better quality) Axidite Iron: Got 500 Plumbum Iron: Got 400 Chrominum Aluminum: Got 500 Green Diamond Crystalline Gemstone: Got 1500 Corellian Deciduous Wood: Got 1000 Link-Steel Aluminum: Got 500 (and harvestors working on more) Doonium Iron Duranium Steel: Got 1800 Carbonite Steel: Got 7923 (but could use better quality) Kammris Iron: Got 9670 (but could use better quality) Polysteel Copper: Got 550 Neutronium Steel: Got 1000 This list will more than likely be added to as I find out what other materials I need. I have currently grinded six boxes (all of Firearms crafting, 2 boxes of weapon crafting/experimentation, after that is done, melee weapons are next, then grenades/munitions). This translates roughly into 308,000 experience grinded, and 154,000 steel (I still have 80K left of Sev's steel tho)...and about 84K of that I've bought myself, for a whopping total of 252K in credits spent in resources so far....NOT including the "special" resources I'm trying to buy in advance to make ready for lots of weapon making for everyone, and NOT including training costs either (I'm not bothering to find PC weaponsmiths...takes too long). ANYWAY. Yes, this is spendy. I'm doing ok for money so far, so that's not a problem. If YOU want beefy weapons for free (pretty much) I really need the "special components" (ie, Krayt dragon tissue) to make the weapons I make very beefy. I've got a few already, mostly looted from doing missions. If you really want to be super helpful, try to fill in the blanks for the "special resources" as well (ie, Doonium Iron). I guess that's it. And yeah, I figured this all in my head...had a lot of time to think lately.
Borg
Might I suggest though you wait till you get 5 holocrons before you start working on the skills they tell you to... Why? Then you will not ruin any of the POWER (skills) that enabled you to get the first holycron.
Soke
Why? I have an ATST, and that's what enabled me to get my holocron to begin with, and sacrificing skills doesn't cross my eyes any...I've done it enough. Hehe. Dabbled in Bio Engineer, Dancer, Creature Handler and a few others... Plus, I'm already halfway done with weaponsmithing. Other people might want to wait til they get five, but it took so long for me to get one that I want to get what that one said over with before I look for any others and get burned out on missions again. On the mission that I found me holocron, I was thinking to myself, "If this one doesn't have it, I'm done. That's it, I'm done, I'm quitting, I ain't doing these stupid missions anymore..." And then, the smurf had a holocron, which made me speechless for about five minutes. So, I'm not looking forward to grinding missions again looking for a second one, and this gives me a break from doing missions all the time. Of course, a little bit more of crafting and I will go nuts.
Soke
Ok. I should get Master Weaponsmith tomorrow evening, I guesstimate. I have only two boxes left, 97K total experience left to go. If the resource gods are with me... Anyway. What I need you guys to do if you want free weapons is send Soke an in game email listing THREE weapons that you want made for you. Severian, Otomo, and Victor can list up to six. I just want a list right now of what to work on so that I will know what resources I need. After those orders are complete, I'll take more. Ciao.
