Akasha Posted January 23, 2004 Share Posted January 23, 2004 G'Day, I played Everquest for over 3 years, and utilized the mage class forums (The Mage Compendium) frequently, from help with spells, to advice on my epic, these forums and the forums members were a great help to me. I have been watching the development of WoW for a while now, and are very excited about playing it. This time around, I would like to offer something back to the community, so I bring you : Warlocks Den- A class forum for the Warlock class in WoW. The #1 place Warclock's serverwide to gather and share information about anything relating to this class. The Rogues Hideaway- A Class forum for the Rogue class in WoW. The #1 place for Rogue's serverwide to gather and share information about anything relating to this class. Of course, murphies law : as soon as I completed the ezboards one, I finally found good hosting!! I um and aah for a couple of days, bug the crap out of the support desk, "can I do this?"..."can I do that?"...."can I cover it with pretty pink bunnies?" and once I have got all the answeres I need, proceed with purchasing both the hosting and my domain name. The best part is it gives me 2 subdomains, so I can host both my boards and still have room for personal stuff.... Of course... me being the braniac that I am nearly threw my PC out the window multiple times trying to just set the damn thing up!! And just once... I would like a tech support person to READ THE ACTUAL QUESTION for answering!!!!!!! *takes a deep breath and moves on* So anywhooo... I finally get it all set up.... only took about 10 different people for me to bug... and I am know the prowd owner of 2 brand spakin new phpBB boards!! With their own addresses!! Just wanted to come around and let you know, I have put together a front page for my forums and on it have added 3 new pages. Acknowledgements, where this site has been listed along with other sites that assisted in spreading the word. Links, where all fan sites that I use have been added with a quote/picture if I was able to find one and Guild Listing, where guilds of WoW are linked along with a small quote promoting the guild. Some of my members are currently not guilded, so if you have room for Warlock's or Rogue's please feel free to post an announcement in either/both of these forums. Akasha Posted March 4, 2004 Author Share Posted March 4, 2004 G'Day I am very happy that my class forums have helped people with information and a place to ask specific class related questions. However, I get asked on nearly a daily basis if I will be making forums for other classes. Unfortunately because my interests lie in Warlock's and Rogue's, I feel I wouldn't be able to provide the best service for other classes. I have spent a great deal of time scouting for class forums for the remaining classes, and while The Druid's Grove has said they will be moving into WoW with WoW Druids, the other places I have asked can't give me a deffinate answer. With Beta not far from starting I can unsderstand how other classes really don't want to wait, so following a suggestion by a close friend I started a temporary forum for all the remaining classes. These forums will be available to everyone with the hopes that someone (or a group of friends) want to take over and host proper class forums. I will currently watch over them while we wait for people to step forward wanting to be moderator's and admin's. The Natural Order for Shamans, The Holy Light for Paladins, Blademasters for the Warriors. The Circle of Light for Priests, The Hunter's Circle for the Hunters and Mage's of Warcraft for the Mages are all now up and running. While I realise they are not as up to date as the Warlock's Den and The Rogue's Hideaway I am working hard to catch them up. If you have been looking for a class forum for your selected class please have a look, also each forum has a Guild Recruitement section for guilds that are recruiting or just want to get their name known. Hopefully soon we will have members that are as excited about these classes as I am about Warlock's and Rogue's. Have fun and see you all in WoW!
