Soke
Name of Event: In the Spirit of Rome... In-game Contact: Soke Location: Naboo, on the ITC Guild Hall roof in Neo-Rome (-1600, 5475) Date: Saturday, January 31st Time: 4 pm EST/9 pm GMT Purpose of Event: This is a Melee vs. Melee PvP event. NO ranged or heavy weapons are allowed. Entrance fee is 5000 credits. The tournament is an elimination tournament (see #6 below), one versus one. The last one standing wins. The competitors will be announced before they fight by the judge/coordinator. When their name is called, they will step forward to the "ring", accept duels from one another, and wait until the judge gives them leave to duel. Anyone attacking BEFORE the judge gives them the go-ahead is automatically disqualified. The two competitors will fight until one is incapacitated; the incapped one loses, and the other moves on. In the case of a double elimination tourney, you will have to lose two duels to be out of the tournament. Rules: 1.) This is for Melee PvPers ONLY! Anyone using any ranged weapons, heavy weapons, or grenades will be automatically disqualified. KNOCKDOWN attacks are allowed in this competition but DIZZY attacks are NOT. If a particular move is a combination knockdown/dizzy, that move is ALSO not allowed. 2.) NO Healing during your fight. You may heal damage and wounds in-between fights. 3.) You may have up to two pieces of armor equipped, in addition to a Personal Shield Generator. 4.) Smugglers using Feign Death will be automatically disqualified from the competition. 5.) Primary stat buffs are not allowed. Secondary stat buffs are. 6.) If we have sixteen or less participants, this will be a Double Elimination tourney. Ie, you have to lose two fights to be out of the tourney. If there are seventeen or more participants, this will be a Single Elimination tourney (because of time issues), meaning that after ONE loss you will be eliminated. The Event Coordinator and Judge of this event (Soke) will announce before the tourney whether it will be a single or double elimination event. 7.) Anyone who is NOT present when their name is announced for the upcoming fight will be disqualified. Anyone who is not present when the judge/coordinator officially begins the tourney will not be eligible to participate...in other words, show up on time and stay until it's finished (unless you're eliminated, of course). Entrance fees will be collected before the event begins. 8.) Factioned players are advised to arrive in COVERT status. While you will not be disqualified for showing up in overt status, ITC and the coordinators of this event are NOT responsible for other players not participating in the tourney attacking you while you are overt. 9.) Absoluely no Deathblows! 10.) Any prizes you *may* have won will be forfeit if you break any of the rules that end in disqualifying you. For example, you are in the final match and you Feigned Death. Normally, you would be 2nd place, but since that move disqualifies you, your prize is forfeit, and 3rd place automatically moves up to 2nd place. 11.) ITC and the coordinators of this event are NOT RESPONSIBLE for losses through game crashes, or Link Deaths. If you go LinkDead during your fight and you lose, you lose: there will be no rematch. IF a fighter goes Link Dead BEFORE their fight begins AND they have been announced to be "up next" in the arena, the judge/coordinator will wait no longer than five minutes for the fighter to return. If s/he does not return in that time span, they are marked down as losing that round, and their opponent is declared the winner by default. Prizes: 1st Place will receive 1/2 of the entry fees 2nd Place will receive 1/4 of the entry fees 3rd Place will receive 1/8 of the entry fees If there are over 10 people participating, 4th place will have their entrance fee returned to them. Also, there will be commemorative sashes handed out for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places at each event.
Soke
Listen up, folks! I NEED an additional judge for this one, to maintain whether or not dizzy attacks are used. Send me an in-game email to volunteer (and thus get on my "good person" list). First one to volunteers gets a (virtual) cookie.

Soke
That's the point Reafia. With the KD/Dizzy, it's not a matter of strategy or anything...it's just which TKA gets in the first punch. What fun is that?
Reafia
there is a strategy behind my combo's I start with a warcry and then KD/Dizzy it's lethal, so i can get around t easily too bad i wont be there
