In-game Contact: Soke Location: Naboo, at the ITC Guild Hall in Neo-Rome (-1600, 5475) Date: Friday, January 30th Time: 6 pm EST/11 pm GMT Purpose of Event: The purpose of this event is to give those people who think they are very clever a chance to prove it...with a riddle contest! The Coordinator (Soke) will randomly assign those participating a number. The participants will line up, from lowest number to highest. The Coordinator will then pose the first person (the one who ended up with the lowest number) a riddle. S/he has 30 seconds to answer it. If they cannot answer, they are out, and the riddle is then posed to the next person. In the event that NO ONE gets a particular riddle, NONE are disqualified that round. Instead, a new riddle will be posed to the person who originally had the unsolveable riddle. In any case, the winner of the competition MUST answer at least one riddle correctly. In an example, it should work something like this: There are ten participants, numbered 1 through 10. Number 1 gets the first riddle posed to him right away. Number 2 is asked a riddle next. He cannot answer it, so the riddle moves on. However, number 3 answers it correctly, so number 2 is "out". Number 4 is posed a riddle next, but cannot solve it. No one can until number 10 solves it, so numbers 4 through 9 are "out", and we have 1, 3 and 10 remaining. Number 1 is then posed a riddle (he is next in line), but can't solve it. None of them can, so that riddle is discarded, and a new one posed. And so on.... The contest will continue until only one participant is remaining. The format will be, the coordinator poses the riddle, then times 30 seconds. The coordinator will then ask for an answer (if one hasn't been provided already, that is). If the contestant does not answer within a of couple seconds, the coordinator will say "Next", and then will time 30 seconds for the next person. If the answer comes AFTER the coordinator says "next" even if it is correct, it doesn't count and will be considered not answering. It may sound harsh, but we need to stay close to the rules to minimize the ability to cheat so that all contestants have a fair shot. The coordinator will ONLY state a riddle once, so pay attention, contestants! As in our PvP events, we are not responsible for those who lose due to game crashes or Link Deaths. If a contestant goes LinkDead in the middle of the contest, they automatically lose, unless they return by the time a riddle is posed them. If a riddle were to be posed to a LD contestant, they are considered "out" automatically. The prize of this contest is 25,000 credits. There is an entry fee of only 500 credits to participate.
