Daav_Teirson
The city of Tirius is debating whether or not to have an Imperial Representative in the city. The city is neutral, but then at this time in the story with the Empire, nothing is really neutral is it? LOL. Tirius (Talus near Dearic), is a roleplaying city. We're debating whether or not we should have someone as an Imperial Rep to give the city, the "feel" of the game storyline going on. I was wondering how interested ITC would be in getting involved with this idea we have? PErhaps once in awhile coming to Tirius with AT-ST's and in their uniforms, perhaps ST armor heh. We're trying to expand our roleplaying horizons and add more guilds into Tirius (not to live but to visit and attend events.) Checking the city forums www.tirius.co.uk (the link to the topic I'm raising is... http://www.talusmoon.co.uk/forums/topic.as...sp?TOPIC_ID=368 Also, on Sunday. Feb 15th there's a celebration of looooove at Club Memor in Tirius. http://www.talusmoon.co.uk/forums/topic.as...sp?TOPIC_ID=369 My in game characters name is Dece Feldin. Send me a tell if you're interested or have any questions.
Chris
Gotta consult with Borg to determine the rp impact of this. What I see happening in an rp perspective is that if there's an imperial representative there it'll mean doom for any local rebs who don't hide their affiliation well because if the empire sees an enemy they crush it. I'll get back to you once a decision is made.
Syban
I'm also concerned about the RPing impact and what this is for... from what it sounds like all that many people want is a target to throw their 'eggs' at. They are asking for a 'mean, evil and crotchety' a-typical Imperial representative... well many of us joined the Imperial side because we wanted to break that mold, or become more than what 'society' and the 'genre' tells us to be. What I am speaking of, is that if one of us does become an 'Imperial Representative' we are most likely not going to want to become the typical type Imperial... would the role-playing opportunities continue to flow if the Imperial Representative helps the people of Tirius? (As long as there are no overt supporters of the Rebellion of course.) Or if the representative is a caring person who only joined the Empire to actually use the Imperial resources to help others and build a better tomorrow? If that situation happens the 'Mean old bad bogeyman' typical Imperial is gone... and many rebels who may be looking for a 'RPing scapegoat' just lost that avenue... In other words I wouldn't want anyone to be 'set up' as a representative just to be the evil guy in everyone’s stories.
Daav_Teirson
*noding* I see what you guys are saying. but...Tirius also has people that support the Empire also. Will this mean eggs will be thrown? Yes...but eggs can be thrown back...well...maybe if they are hard boiled. To be honest, we're not looking for anyone to throw eggs at. And if eggs are thrown...there's quite a few people to back you up in Tirius. I cannot speak for the council, we have to talk about this on Wed. 5pm EST. If anyone is interested in attending stop by. Meetings, the council members dance a fine line as far as OOC and IC goes during the meetings. To run a city ooc is needed but then that's not fun LOL. Check out what's being said on the forums. Remembers the Empire rules the galaxy. If all we want is to throw eggs...well the threat of their is always a rather serious one. I saw this as a great chance for a roleplaying Imperial PA to get envolved a bit, even if it's coming into Club Memor and doing an Imperial shakedown. *grins* Up to you guys. Syban
Without any prompting Gorja's (Nostromoo) post pretty much sumed up my concerns in a nutshell and proved my concerns valid.
Daav_Teirson
LOL Lianna and I are clearing the situation up. You guys are seeing the idea as raw as it can get. Literally this is the first topic about this situation. We posted clearing the situation up a bit. Check it out now.
Syban
Don't get me wrong it's a very good and exciting type of idea... but if it comes down to a 'Nanner, nanner I'm Rebel and there is nothing you can do about it...' situation, unfortunately the Rebel would be correct and the Imp would be Imp'potent. Also if it's a RPed thing Gorja would NEVER say anything like that out in the open... unless he either A) Didn't give a crap about you guys at all and wasn't concerned with the trivial fact that Tirius would burn if his message ever got out... or B) Doesn't give a crap about himself in the City enough to understand that he would have to disappear if he sustained and attitude like that. (Not talking killed just that his friends would have to make him lay low till the Fuzz got of Tirius's back.) Even barring those overt actions any representative would still be the object of 'angsty Rebels' and 'How the totally evil without redemption (I never though Captain Pellaeon was a monster.) completely naughty Empire' hurt them this week.
