Bucephalus Philonous
With a surprisingly calm aspect I returned from my most recent busi tripee to find my oldest had worsened my computer's alreaduy fragile state. I am seeking repairs for it cause I can't even get it to come on now. Maybe I will get an upgrade or two, but THAT type of stuff is like putting racing tires on a Fiesta: might make one feel better but why bother? Also pricing new gear but financial considerations and time constraints (dont want to wait) may preclude any purchases in the near term. Glok'tur
Indeed. One of the computers on my home network contracted a worm32 virus recently. It had no virus scanner operating, but luckily I was viewing the contents of it's shared download folder, and my copy of norton caught it. I'm soooo glad I didn't have to reformat/fix all 4 systems. Though the same computer, and my server, had a couple trojans on them lately. I was able to entirely fix the first, but the server is in bad shape as it is. (Belongs to my friend's mom, I'm staying with there family.) She is a software-holic. I can't wait for us to get an older system back, borrowed by friends. I plan to reformat it and set up Slackware 9.1 as the OS. Since we have no router, linux is the next best option for a server. =)
