Soke Posted February 14, 2004 Share Posted February 14, 2004 Blargh. Soke has come to a realization: SWG sucks and she hates it. ("Yes, we hates it, don't we precious?") So, she's leaving. Yeah, this may come out of the blue for y'all, but it's been building slowly yet steadily since August. Yes, that early she realized that it may not be all it's cracked up to be. No, this is NOT saying anything against ITC. Matter of fact, the reason why I have played for so long is BECAUSE of ITC. Because you guys are great. And Victor is sezzy. (kidding, hehe) This game is just not for me. I won't go into it, because then this will be a very long rant, but believe you me, I have tried and tried to find stuff to do in the game that interested me, even doing the holo-grinding, arranging events (which, let's face it, met with a lil success but overall went over like a bag of hot rocks), and group hunting and singing in cantinas annoying peeps and Miss Galaxy...which, yeah, that was a rush, but I didn't win and that blew. hehe. Anyway, time has come, and Soke's closing her account, for good. So, on Monday, if anyone wants free stuff, log on and get it. I'll be online at 6pm EST. I have a ton of resources that is going to a future weaponsmith I know, but I have a medium house, I have a holocron, I have some creds (not much anymore), I have armor, clothings, weapon crafting tools, speederbike, like ten or so force crystals...all of which pretty much must go. I hate to waste anything, so someone might as well be using these cuz I sure won't. I would say "See ya in WoW" but I'll be playing Undead exclusively most like, and Undead aren't allowed in the SoC. I hate it, I'm not having any fun (except by proxy of interacting with you, which, hey, I can get free right here) so why should I pay 15 dollars a month to hate something? Balandar Posted February 14, 2004 Share Posted February 14, 2004 Undead are NOT fun. They smell very very bad, much worse than the orcs. They always have parts falling off. Bones are sticking out everywhere with flesh hanging from them. Orcs would never even consider eating an undead!! Every other race, sure, even their own. But Undead? Never!! Which, you know, I think would be cool. But odds are, I'd bet I end up picking the wrong server to play on, cuz that's just how my luck goes. I had actually been wondering where you were for the past week or so. I guess it pays to read the boards. I hardly knew you, but it seems you were fairly popular within the guild, so it's a shame to see you leave. I'm curious what brought you to this decision. What things did you hate in the game? I know it's got a lot of bugs still, but I think it's a great game. I can't wait till the expansion comes out. Are you planning on returning for the expansion when/if they ever release it? Soke Posted February 21, 2004 Author Share Posted February 21, 2004 Hey TFO. I was "popular" within the guild because I hardly ever shaddup. But... the game just annoyed me. I won't go into a rant here, because there are quite a few peeps (including you) that DO like the game, and it wouldn't be very respectful of me to tear it down. However, my main problem was with the implementation of the game as a WHOLE. I could point to specific examples (*coughcoughJedicoughcough*) but basically they took my dreams of Star Wars and trampled all over it. I too have started the Holo grind and have been talking with a few diffrent Jedi about what its like. Most of them hate it. I am still going to try to get mine unlocked and see what its like. I am sorry that you are gone, I was thinking that I was just on a diffrent play times as you.
