Wolf
I'm working on a couple of new renderings, but also wanted to pick the brains of all you guys to see if there is any kind of image for the guild, an event etc... that you would love to see done. Not promising I can do it, but I always like to hear the creative thoughts of others. Helps stimulate my thoughts as well. Cheers
Earwen
Hope you don't mind me asking questions every now and then on the artwork. I'm getting Poser in the next week or so and will start learning it. I'm also getting a landscape program so hopefully I can produce some art also.
Earwen
How about 2 people jousting. Would go along with the jousting tournaments being held.
Kelnica
Or perhaps a Royal Wedding of some sort? For us Romantics out there... *sighs dreamily*
Wolf
Not at all Earwen, ask away. Both of those ideas are interesting. I'll see what I can do
Wolf
I think I'm going to try the joust rendering first. I just watched A Knight's Tale again. Good inspiration
Earwen
I was thinking of something else that might be interesting. I'm going to try to create models for all the leaders in UO once I get the program. I was thinking of maybe getting models for all the leaders of each of the different realms we have and making a series of shots of meetings between them. There are other possibilities also but I don't want to get to far ahead of myself.
Wolf
Yep, you'll find it can be awfully tedious to create your own "character" model. You just need to have patience. That and access to the multitude of accessories which can be a pain in the rear end. That's why I do so much post work i.e. hair, clothing detail, scenery once I get the base model done. Balandar
Yup, wolf is good at post work. I have to work with what I have (NO FRIGGEN TALENT!! ). Anyway, here are some good sites to visit, most have tutorials: http://www.daz3d.com/ http://poserpros.com http://www.renderosity.com http://www.runtimedna.com/ Also, you better have a heck of a lot of ram if you want to make large scene renders, or just plain large in size. Wolf
I try to render only one or two models at atime, then make them part of the background. Then start rendering another model. Otherwise it would be impossible to render some of the images I do
Earwen
I was gonna do one at a time. If I get to much going I'll lose track and never finish anything. I'm not gonna be in a hurry so it might take me quite awhile to finish one. As far as Ram I've got a gig so hopefully I won't need more than that. Wolf
Once you get going Earwen, feel free to call on Bal or I for some assistance
Earwen
Thanks I'll need it. I ordered it today so maybe it'll be here mid week or so. I hate not having a place around here to buy software.
Wolf
Are you going with Poser then?
Earwen
Yes I'm Going with Poser 5. I considered the one I asked you about but just couldn't find enough info on it so I decided to go with the proven product.
Wolf
Good plan. I think Bal uses Poser 5. I'm still back a generation using Poser
Earwen
Fixing to go on off days Monday and Tuesday and it's gonna be rough cause I want the program now and start playing. Knowing my luck it'll come the first day of my work week and I'll have to wait that much longer.
Earwen
Just great I get the program and get it installed only to find out they didn't give me a serial number to register the thing. Now we get to see what kind of customer support Curious Labs has. Hope it's nothing like OSI/EA.
