Rumblebore
I am interested in making the Temple of Veeshan our goal as a guild. I believe that for the guild to truly grow and not stagnate, we need a focus, a goal that we can all work towards. A place like ToV is where we can go to gain items and Armor, to level and improve our abilities as a guild. In the Temple of Veeshan there are many quests that improve armor and also many very nice drops. And since the mobs there require at least a group, and the named full raids, then Guild-wide participation is needed. This is also the place where the Halls of Honor are at, which is Dragon Central and where the drops for Skyshrine Armor Quests drop. With many high level people on the planes and in GoD zones, it seems to me that we would be well suited to arrange regular raids in this zone for the Guild to gain items for SS armor and other nice drops due to fewer people raiding there making it more likely to get mobs. It will take our highest levels to make this effective, since many of the Named mobs are level 60+. We would need dedicated people to level and dedicate themselves to a primary class to level for raiding purposes. I believe we would need a raid force of 24 level 60+ to make this very likely to succeed regularly. I post this in hopes that the guild (the few who actually come to the messageboard) can look into this and examine if they would like to make this a regular zone to raid. I have not been there before but plan to visit there very soon and scope the place out. This link is to Allkhazam’s Equipment list for this zone. Be advised – almost all items listed are dropped from named mobs. Only a few are on “Multiple Creatures”, however, the list of creatures they drop off of tend to be named mobs also. That means, drop rates will be low due to rarity. http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/itemzone.html?zone=116 Here are examples of what is available. I tried to make it a cross section and not include any of the class-only items. I want to find a place where we as a guild can regularly raid and group to improve ourselves. I ask that you post here when you read this as to if you are interested or not. Thank you. Altarial
ToV is a great goal. I have raided the dragons, Gozzrem and Telkorenar, and even ventured into NToV with members of SR, AV and all he other uber guilds. Gozzrem and Telkorenar we could definitely do if we get a good turn out and everyone there is non-KoS to CoV. We have the levels and classes we need, we just need people to be on at the same time and dedicate themselves to some serious Kael time to get the good CoV faction. I went on a ToV raid and 1 person was KoS and ruined the whole raid for everyone. I went on a Halls of Honor raid a long, long time ago and I remember the mobs not being hard for a 20 something raid force. I don't think I even had to heal and the mobs were going down really fast, but that was a while ago, so not sure if they've twinked that place or not. And I remember we were to stay away from the door, since mobs aggro through it. Since, I am Ally and I know a few others are, I can try to set up an excursion team to really get to know ToV (go in as far as we can until we get to the KoS to everyone mobs). I know where the zone outs are in the areas that are on CoV faction, so taking people to those would be easy. I always like knowing the way out So, Rummy, I agree that ToV is a great idea for a goal for the guild. I think Dragon Necropolis is on CoV faction also, not sure. But Dragon Necropolis is also a good place to raid. Another zone I really like is Chardok b. We did 1 raid there and everyone seemed to like it. It was a tough place, but we did very well. However, we barely entered the zone. We can go in much further and get the quest items to get really good gear. I think most people understand and realize that my main focus is old world zones, rather than the planes, so I really like this idea of focusing on a high level old world zone instead of being teir 8 or whatever the highest tier is (PoTime). Rumblebore
Okay - Simple Solution offered. Next Week (June 6-12) is KAEL FACTION Week. I hope to have made 65 by this weekend, and am willing to MT all next week in Kael or EW, or GD - wherever, in order to work on faction. So what if we kill greens or light blues or dark blues and get crappy xp? (hehe - i do this week - that is for sure) Let's start the ball rolling towards getting our faction up to snuff so we can start gathering and getting sum gud stuff, maynard. Of course, what really starts that off is getting more guildies to come HERE and find out what is going on - and to get feedback from them. Altarial
Good idea, next week will be CoV faction week. I have an idea of how to get more people to visit the messageboard, but won't give out any secrets yet
blackfogg
I have no prob doing this once in awhile but its a minimum 4 hour raid. To be truthful i found it to be boring as a rule. I have maximum faction for this zone so no prob. Now if armor is what you need then i suggest we do Ldon's. There is some great armor if you have a enough points. I have not done raid ldon's though and would look forward to trying them. An example: for only 760 points in Ruj you can get this 2hb 34/32 ac10 str 15 agi 8 etc called the Steelcrown war mace. This item would cost you 10 hours of ldon in Ruj, and that is besides the exp you will get. One more example that should interest you is the Malevolent Breastplate of Suffering AC 63, str 10 dex 9 etc etc for only 760 points in Mir ldon. yes both are pally usable. there you go, food for thought. Altarial
To just raid Gozzrem and Telk it doesn't take 4 hours. They are the only ones I have experience with, though. I have the NRO plate BP that was 1492 points (I think, or maybe that's when Columbus sailed the ocean blue..) Anyway, the BP is 69 AC 100 hp/mana and 10 wis. It was well worth the effort, but I still think that ToV armor is more fun to get. It's fun to mix it up sometimes, I think, which is why I like the idea of ToV so much. Once we get the hang of the place, then maybe even the 4 hour places won't take so long. Well, anyway, I'm happy for all suggestions. (I've been thinking about planning a LDON week anyhow )
Guest Kolzar
Hi all, hope to join you in Kael this week. Its one of the old-world zones I've always want to check out. Also a quick question: most of the time MLchat has only 1-3 people on it, whereas a who all "Mystic Legions" shows a larger number of people on. Why the low turnout in mlchat? greatest regards, Kolzar Karana Ranger of 54 Seasons Innoruuk
Altarial
I don't know why people don't want to join the chat channel. I set it up for everyone and at times there is a large number in the channel. It is something they need to work on.
