Rumblebore
To help me fill my extra time up and improve my character, I do quests. That way, while waiting for a LDoN to open up, I have things I can be doing while waiting for that tell that asks if I am available. Currently, I have been working the following quests that net the following items: **Rune of Scale (Key to Veeshan’s Peak)(Kunark) This is actually 5 quests and one raid in one. I needed to obtain 3 pieces of 3 medallions (9 pieces total) by finding the place they spawn, where they drop, and do 2 quests to obtain 2 pieces. Once the 3 medallions are assembled, I have to loot a tooth off of the dragon Trakanon, and then turn in all 4 parts to get the key that gives me access to Veeshan’s Peak zone. **Ashbringer (Luclin) This is a sword Quest for Paladins in Katta Castellum (Luclin). It is a +10 Vampyre Bane weapon, and is the best Bane weapon to use in Killing a named Vampye for another Quest I am doing. Lots of camping of spawns in this quest. Once I have this weapon, the next quest is easily doable by me for anyone who wants a shield like that quest gives. Since the Vamp can only take damage from Vamp bane weapons. **Vampyre Troubles (Loyalist Shield of Honor)(Luclin) This is the named Vampyre I need to kill to get a shield with fairly good stats, better AC at the least. (AC: +50 Str: +15 Wis: +15 HP: +75). The Vamp can only be hurt by Vamp Bane weapons, and Ashbringer is the best of them. **Sigil Earring of Veracity (Luclin) This is actually 5 quests to obtain a very nice ear piece. The first 2 quests are doable solo (And I am done with those 2). The Next 2 involve killing 4 level 60 mobs, all in the same zone, and looting 2 items for each one. These kills are 1-groupable only if the group is all level 65-ish. Otherwise – it is really a raid event for each. The last kill is a nasty one – Raid level kill of a level 66 mob, a full raid level event. He drops something I need for a turn in for this: LORE ITEM MAGIC ITEM NO DROP Weight: 0.1 Size: TINY Slot: EAR AC: +25 Str: +25 Sta: +25 Wis: +25 Int: +25 Fire Resist: +10 Disease Resist: +10 Cold Resist: +10 Magic Resist: +10 Poison Resist: +10 HP: +100 Mana: +100 Classes: All Classes Races: All Races Slot 1: Type 7 *This item is the result of a raid event. Effect: Acumen 1: See Invisible(2) 2: Ultravision Type: Triggered Charges: Unlimited He also has a long list of very nice items and spells that drop. *** TRICKY PART*** he is immune to normal melee weapons. There is a quest to obtain Bane weapons that work against him, although one post said they use very few Bane weapons at all, but the guild that killed him is time level I believe. So, there are weapons I would have to make to equip people so they can damage him. A Lot of work, but I can use the opportunity to work to improve my smithing skills too. **Seru Bane Weapons is the name of the “Quest”. **I also plan to work the Key Quest to gain access to Vex Thal, a zone with a TON of VERY nice drops. VT was considered to be the highest level zone and nicest drops that Luclin had to offer. Here is a link to the list of items: Vex Thal Equipment List ** I am also slowly getting flagged to eventually be able to group in the elemental planes, so that maybe I can get drops there, or upgrade to elemental equipment, including weapons. ** I was introduced to the Plane of Mischief, which has a fun zone, lots of fun mobs, and nice drops also. This is also an Old World zone I would like us to visit a lot. ** Leanessa is ready to kill the King in Chardok. But I am afraid ML doesn’t have the forces to help her do it. So we will probably try to recruit friends from outside the guild to assist us in making her dream come true – her Epic. I share all this so that you can see a lot of what I am about. I do want to improve my character and his equipment. I am finding ways to do it that are considered old, but that yield many things: Nice items, new experiences in old zones I rarely or never went to, raids that can benefit others too (with drops and grouping/raiding experience), and trailblazing experience so that I can help others get these things also. I want to be able to help you all with your quests and Kit (weapons and armors) too. But what is clearly missing is a raid force. We can get a group of 6 together to kill some mobs, and maybe a raid of 12 to do certain others. But in reality, I really want to see ML grow to have 18 and 24 people (or more) who regularly form groups of 6 for common grouping and LDoN’s, helping each other with epics and quests, and Occasional raiding in tougher zones (like Veshans Peak and Tower of Veeshan, and eventually Vex Thal itself) and all of us remaining casual players that can put on a raid hat every so often to make our dreams come true. I am not hot and heavy for the planes. Maybe we can grow this up within the guild. I want to try to make it happen. I want to help you all get what you want within the Old World focus we have, and somewhat on the planes. But most of all – I want to see us become friends and gather like-minded friends around us to make this happen. This is my dream, my hope and goals for the guild. I am here to make this happen. Some of leveling will have to be done by you in regular game play. Until people are level 58, the level 65’s cannot group with you in LDoN’s, and with OoW coming out late next month, and level 70 becoming available, the level and grouping gap may widen even more. Please, as you can, try to level up into the 60’s by next month. Find ways to get XP so that we can continue to group together and gain from our collective experiences. Rumblebore
Ok, now that I have posted that – here is the OTHER side of the post. I need help with these quests. I need Groups and/or raids. (UNMENTIONED) Coldain Prayer Shawl – RAID – The event necessary for me to complete this quest has been bugged and I am still waiting to see a solid force form within ML so as to make this event possible, even if the bug that made me fail twice returns. The hard part…..I am still waiting……… Rune of Scale Key – RAID – Need to kill Trakanon in Old Sebilis. Vampyre Troubles – GROUP – I need to get people some Vamp Bane weapons and ask people to help me kill the mob I need to loot the item I need for the shield. Sigil Earring of Veracity – RAID, RAID, RAID, RAID, BIG RAID – 4 kills needed (Possibly only 1 loooonnngggg event) or 4 separate kills, and the final Big Raid needed. Vex Thal Key – GROUP/SOLO - Some of the drops needed for this are camps that need more than 1 person to help with. We all can benefit from this. Leanessa’s Epic – RAID/RAID – There are 2 kills she needs – The Chardok King and Ragefire. These are great examples of why I believe ML needs to build a raid force. Even a single group of level 65’s will find these 2 mobs challenging and may wipe us out rather easily without more people backing us up. I firmly believe in having ML being able to support its own players in the majority of things they want to accomplish. I believe we need a good raid force. I do NOT want us to become a raiding guild. I just believe that if we are here to also help each other, then we need to do so, even to forming a raid force big enough to handle epic mobs as well as a few Big Named in Old Worlds. I hope that when I call for help, you will all be there. I intend to be there for you when you call.
Altarial
Trakanon - We should plan a Trak raid soon. The only thing is that we need a plethera (sp?) of tanks because tanks can (and will) be TLed out of the area repeatedly. I think Minihart was looking into having his mage, Fizzlehands, COTH us to Trak's lair. Vampyres - It is not necessary to have vampyre bane weapons for this. I did it with me, druid, chanter, shaman, wizard and the druid was tanking. We did wipe once, but we got him the 2nd time easy. It's just that spells don't land very well, so the key is to melee (my pet was not hitting at all though). So, vampyre bane weapons are definitely a plus, but it is not the only way to hit him. Cleric Epic - Physician also needs the Chardok King and Ragefire and has been waiting longer for both (been in guild longer). So, we should head there for Physician first (if the time we pick suits her), then stay the 3 hours for a King respawn. However, whichever one of them posts in the EQ Epics section first will get her raid first. Well, that's all I have to add atm.. getting ready to go see The Terminal, so I best be off! Rumblebore
Trakanon – Trak can be pulled into the corridor near where the banish point is – so clearing that area and pulling trak there is an option also. Vampyres – QUOTE – [spells don't land very well, so the key is to melee (my pet was not hitting at all though). So, vampyre bane weapons are definitely a plus] – Aye, I knew that melee isn’t the only way. However, as you said – having some people who can melee him helps. Cleric Epic – I mean no offense to Physician, but I find she tends to get on pretty late for me to remain on. In order for me to attempt to be there I will need more than a days notice to accommodate showing up, if it is very late at night. I have to get up at 4:30 AM PST and I want and need 5-6 hours of sleep to do my job well. That means that for me, I prefer to FINISH raids about 10PM or so. I have stayed up beyond that, but it makes the next day fatiguing. However, I am all for getting every main cleric and even Alts their clicky. And I agree – either one should post when they want to do this. I want to bring Rumble on these, even though my mage can also CoTH. I hope they both have all the shards already too! ** SIDE NOTE** Lord Inquisitor Seru is comparable (if not more so) than Derakor the Vindicator. Meaning – he is a NASTY mob. He has almost 1 million HP’s and some full raids took an hour to kill him. I am aware he is a MAJOR goal. But I think the Veracity Quests are good measuring sticks of what we can accomplish. So please don’t think I am off in LALA Land. I am aware of the challenge.
