Akheva Ruins and The Va'Dyn

Please read this link about The Va'Dyn. Here's some of info I got from reading about what others said about him on Allakhazam:

Killed all of the rocks in his room, then pulled Va'Dyn solo. Hit furious while the shaman slowed him. All magic spells landed np, but he seems to be 100% reistant to fire, cold, poison, and disease.

Shaman kept quiscence (sp?) on me and cleric and druid alternated heals and nuking/dots. Took about 15 minutes to kill. Once crippled and slowed he rarely flurries and hit 458 max. I used evasive against him and could go quite a while before any heals were needed.

How to move up a tier:

Either kill the "Trial of Heroes" mob for the next level (denoted by ***), or kill 1/2 (rounded up) of the mobs of the next level. If there is an even amount of mobs on the Tier, you will have to kill 1 more than half to move up (if there are 4, you have to kill 3, if there are 6, you have to kill 4). Please note: mobs with a - in front of their name do not count towards the total number of mobs in the tier, but can be killed and counted towards your total number of kills within the tier.

I understand this to mean that if we kill The Va'Dyn we will also have to kill Trakanon to be Tier 1 again, or just kill VS. The Va'Dyn sounds much easier than Trakanon, but since both mobs are considered Tier 1, then I'd like us to get a feel for the easier of the two first. Then perhaps the week after we can go after Trakanon.

We may not be getting any of these particular drops for these quests, but if we do, then we will know what the items are for at least.

Here is some general info I found out about Akheva Ruins:

- Get someone to disarm traps: mobs that spawn from traps are random particular to where you are in the zone, some spawn mana-sucking worms, seems to be about 3 mobs spawning each trap, levels vary

- Ultravision: the zone is very dark and almost impossible to see at times apparently

- Some mobs unmezzable/unstunable/unrootable: the blue-colored centis especially, although sometimes can be rooted, very high MR

- No AE: AE spells will bring lots of nasty adds, which we don't need with the threat of traps

- Summon: at least some of the mobs summon

I'll continue adding more info if I find anything good. This place seems like a good place for us to hunt and hone our hunting and raiding skills.
