Lord Ser Brightblade
Any Server 2003 Gurus on our forums that might be able to help me out with SMTP relay on my server? Right now I have it shut off to stop half of China from sending spam to the entire world. I would like to be able to enable relay so that I may recieve e-mails to all my accounts and send e-mail from all my accounts to the external world while keeping anyone from randomly using my server as a relay to spam the entire universe with thier junk and eat up all my resources. I know it must be something simple that I'm not doing right as I have been able to get the following to work depending on different settings in the SMTP server: 1. Recieve mail from sources outside my network and send mail to people in my network but not able to send to those external to network. Kept outsiders from using my server as relay station to the universe 2. Send and Recieve from all people and to all people but also leave myself wide open for anyone in the known universe to relay and fill up my drive with thier queued messages. 3. Send to anyone I want but recieve nothing from the external world. Anyway if you know anything about SMTP on Win 2003 and setting up the relay to do what I need please PM me!!!!
