(21:06:27) Strdexcon: I've played many MMOs in my day, E&B, EQ, AC, SWG, WoW, AO, The list goes on

(21:06:47) Strdexcon: and well, I've found my greatest pleasure in them came from leading an effective/fun group of people, as a guild

(21:07:26) Strdexcon: so I shot out a post on the PBS official boards about wanting to form a guild, Jon replied, and I quickly realized he'd make a wonderful co-leader (leading= much work in game)

(21:07:45) Strdexcon: so, I asked him, he accepted, and we set to planning

(21:08:11) Strdexcon: now-

(21:08:47) Strdexcon: our intent is to form a British Themed Roleplaying guild, mixing both ends of the brit experience- we are, as far as we know, the first Brit RP guild out there!

(21:09:13) Strdexcon: if we make this work, and dedicate ourselves to forming a great community, I expect that we will be a dominant force on our server.

(21:11:54) Magnus2015: Ranks are designed to be "period authentic" and expand upwards in prominence as the guild gains strength.

(21:12:08) Magnus2015: For example, we're small right now. As such Miller and I are first Lieutenants.

(21:12:30) Magnus2015: There were five classic British Lieutenant ranks: 1st through 5th Lieutenant

(21:12:38) Magnus2015: Officers are 3rd Lieutenants Currently.

(21:13:04) Magnus2015: Horatio, Missfire, and a guy not here are currently our 3rd Officers.

(21:13:12) Strdexcon: (actually, I'm not certain where my "rank" falls, being a privateer)

(21:13:26) Magnus2015: The Officer positions (non-commander positions) are designed to rotate out every now and then.

(21:13:33) Magnus2015: Based on participation, needs, etc.

(21:13:53) Magnus2015: Currently we need two more standing officers.

(21:14:17) Magnus2015: Missfire also said she won't be on too much (at first, due to school) so she wanted to turn over hers.

(21:14:40) Magnus2015: Officers have a variety of specialized responsibilities, and also have veto powers against the evil Co_Commanders.

(21:14:59) Magnus2015: Officers are the "first line" for regular players to go to with concerns.

(21:25:15) Strdexcon: As I said, you must be social. Try to post on both boards daily if you can- set yourself up with a guild signature for the forums. The more we get our name out there, the more well known and seen we are.

(21:25:30) Strdexcon: daily isnt wholly neccesary, but please, a couple times a week if possible

(21:25:59) Strdexcon: talk to your guildies, share interests, just get to know eachothers- I'm sure we all have alot of common interests

(21:26:11) Magnus2015: The most important presence is on the BWIA forums

(21:26:23) Magnus2015: If ya have to choose, post there

(21:26:33) Strdexcon: I speak from experience when I say the key, hands down, to forming a great guild is great people- the more we like eachother, the more fun we have

(21:29:37) Strdexcon: The non-navy branch of the BWIA works more like a business, so I hope to make it feel a little more like that.

scratch that anyway it only holds 8 people at a time and we have more then 8 people in the guild as it is so i set up an team speak server that i can adjust the ammount to.

As for now, our energy should be directed at three big things: recruitment, getting a good website up and running, and getting a voice chat server up and running.
