  1. "The final wave of emails have been sent. We will be sending another wave tomorrow starting at 8am CST."
  2. I would likely lose that and be screwed.
  3. I don't think they would be able to eliminate an early launch access. If they did so,they would need to limit the number of copies sold significantly. With 2 million pre-orders their servers would choke on day 1 and there would likely be queues of HOURS. Who knows.. may still happen!
  4. Yeah, same. And if you try to re-enter your pre-order code it'll say it was already used. I think that box is for the full retail version code.
  5. Tweeted on SWTOR. "The third wave of Early Game Access emails have been sent, one more to go!"
  6. From SWTOR.com. Hey everyone, good morning and welcome to the first day of Early Game Access for Star Wars: The Old Republic! We're granting access based solely on when people's pre-orders were redeemed, and we're going to be granting it in 'waves' - large batches of emails and game entitlements that will go out over the course of today (and tomorrow, and the next day, and so on). I'll be updating this thread (and this post) as we send out more 'waves' of invites. So far today, we have sent out two 'waves' of invites; we will be sending more later on, but I cannot be specific on timing. (Why? Because as we invite each wave, we monitor to see how servers are performing and so on. If everything is good, we'll send a 'wave' earlier; we in fact sent 'wave 2' ahead of schedule. So cross your fingers.) Now, to the question you all have: when will you be invited? Well, I cannot be specific to individuals or even to dates, because again, we have to remain flexible. That said, I can talk a little about the pattern of pre-orders. At the very beginning of pre-orders, which started on July 21st, we had a massive influx of pre-orders. A huge spike. After that, things settled down. As a result, today especially, you're going to see a fairly narrow band of dates from those admitted to Early Game Access. From tomorrow, it'll spread out to a wider date range. That's about as specific as we're going to get right now. However, as we send more waves I'll update this thread/post with more information. Thanks for your patience - we know it's been a long road, but you'll be playing before too long. Stephen Reid | Senior Online Community Manager Update: Wave 3 was just sent. Update: Wave 4 was sent approximately noon CST. (Apologies for delay.) Update: Wave 5 - the final wave for today - was sent at approx 1:30PM CST. Wednesday 12/14 Waves Today, we're inviting many more people to play The Old Republic - more than yesterday, and over a much greater time span. As explained yesterday, our initial pre-order rush was over a very short span (about a week). Today we'll be inviting well beyond July, but again, we're remaining cautious as we send each email wave. We're currently planning on sending four waves of email invites today of equal size. We're going to get them out as fast as we can, while monitoring player counts and server population. I'll update this thread when each wave is sent. You can also follow our official Twitter account for notification. Wave One was sent at 8AM CST (6AM PST / 9AM EST / 2PM GMT / 3PM CET).
  7. Post here when you get in game or the email. To see when you redeemed your code (which determines when you get early access), click the link below: https://account.swtor.com/user/codes
  8. Just an FYI on all servers so far: http://www.askajedi.com/2011/12/12/guild-email-notice-incoming-server-list-compilation/
  9. We are located on the Shien server. From SWTOR.com: Now that your guilds are in the game, ready to go, here’s everything you need to know about how Guild Deployment works. How can I tell if/where my guild has been deployed? Everyone will receive an email before Early Access with details about the status of their guild. If your guild was successfully deployed to a server, you’ll receive a link to the website that you can follow to find out what server your guild has been placed on. If your guild was not deployed to a server because it did not meet the qualifications for import, you will be able to create your guild manually in the game. Server assignments through the Guild HQ system are final and cannot be changed, but you and your guild are not in any way required to play on the server where you were placed. We have pre-created assigned guilds on specific servers as a convenience to you, and these assignments may be ignored at your discretion. What happens if I don’t like my server assignment? Ignore it. You are more than welcome to create a new guild on a different server (as long as no one has already taken your desired guild name, of course). In order to create a guild in-game, you’ll need to gather a full group of four players and 5,000 credits, then speak to the Guild Registrar on the Republic/Imperial Fleets. I am happy with my server assignment. How do I join once I’m in the game? When you first join the game and reach the Server Select screen, the server where your guild has been pre-created will be marked with a gold flag. If you choose this server and create a character on it, you’ll be presented with a dialogue box inviting you to join your guild when you enter the game. Accept that invite and you’re in! What happens if I decline my automatic guild invite? Every character you create on the server will be offered an automatic invite until ONE of those characters has accepted the invite. At that point, no further invites will be offered to any future characters you create on that server. What happens if I accidentally told the game to stop offering me invites, but I changed my mind? There is an option in the Preferences pane (under Social) which allows you to ignore all automatic guild import invites. If you accidentally chose “Do not ask again” in the invite and selected “No,” you can go to this panel and deselect the “Ignore Guild Import Offer” box. The next time you create a character on the server, you’ll once again be asked to join. Can I join my pre-created guild with more than one character? You can only accept an “automatic invite” once, so if you wish to add additional characters to the guild, you will need to reach out to your Officers or Guild Leader to send you additional invites. What happens if our Guild Leader doesn’t join the game immediately? Guild Leaders have until two weeks after launch (January 2nd, in our case) to accept their automatic invite. At that point, if your Guild Leader has not arrived in-game and accepted their invite, the most senior Officer will be automatically promoted to Guild Leader. Please note that this means it could be possible for the guild to be leaderless for up to two weeks after launch, so make sure your Guild Leader is ready to join the game!
  10. It's RP EST. http://www.swtor.com/guilds/search?shardName%5B%5D=he1067
  11. Shien says US EST English, but doesn't say if it's RP-PVE.

  13. From SWTOR.com This Saturday, Dec. 10th, the [sWTOR.com] Forums will become unavailable as we make preparations for launch. When they become available again, you'll notice many exciting changes! First of all, we'll have many new forums available where you can discuss all aspects of the game, from Crew Skills to PvP. The Guild Hall forums will be expanded significantly and will include new "Looking for Guild" forums, class forums will contain sub-forums for each Advanced Class, and we'll introduce a new Story and Lore forum for discussion of the game's setting and story. To encourage constructive community building, you'll also notice a "New Player Help" forum and a Community section that includes areas for regional check-ins and meetups, all kinds of fan creations and role-playing, and forums for server event organization. These are just some of the new forums we'll be introducing. We're looking forward to all the great discussion! Another new feature we're implementing is our Community blog, which will appear at the top of www.SWTOR.com/community. We'll use this blog for important community announcements, updates, and to post articles of interest to our community members, so make sure to check it out frequently! The launch Forums will be a fresh start: all threads, posts, and private messages will be removed and warnings and infractions on your account will be deleted. If you have any special posts or private messages that you would like to save, please do so now! When Early Game Access begins, only those who have redeemed their Pre-Order Code will be able to post on the forums, though everyone will be able to view them. Then, when the game officially launches, only those who have active game time will be permitted to post. As we move forward, we will continue to improve our community forums. You can expect to see new features that make it easier to find developer posts and several updates to our skin to make everyday use of the forums easier for everyone. We're very excited about the changes that are coming, and we can't wait to work with you to make the Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ community a great experience for everyone!

  16. Summary: This thread contains resources to general guides and FAQ's for SWTOR. Resources: A Comprehensive Guide and FAQ - g4m3r_g3rl "This is a work in progress and contains numerous elements from the SWTOR MMO developed by Bioware. The guide portion is a compilation of information from various sources as well as first hand experience from Daelenn as a Beta tester for over 6 months." - From website
  17. Summary: This thread has links and resources related to Crew Skills. Resources: Sith Warrior: Crew Skills Compendium "Here's a helpful link for all the crew skills. It boils down what each one does, how it works, etc. It also provides a flow-chart to show which skills go best with each other. And there is some information on skill-exclusive items (Bind on Pick-up for the crafter). And there are links for each skill to all the known schematics for that skill". - Fuzrum
  18. Nice find! Added this to the Crew Skill resource thread.
  19. UO is still active after all of these years (since 97). It's just sooo behind the times in graphics. If they could release a new client every few years to keep up with current 3D trends, they may be able to pull it off. But unlikely. They'll get the shiniez and then sit back in their mansions and relax.
