My current rig isn't going to cut it. I want to upgrade for under $700. I am going to see who has what on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. I'm looking for the following upgrades: Motherboard CPU + Heatsink Video Card SSD HDD (60GB or so for Windows 7 64bit) 16GB RAM, probably 8GB will be plenty but RAM is cheap now. 750W PS or better. I'll keep my sound card, 2x 10k raptors, alienware case, 2 dvd burners, monitors, and peripherals. I'll post later on what I have. So far, the total without a SSD is $860 on Newegg. AMD 8-core AM3+, AMD3+ Gigabyte board, 16 GB ram, EVGA OCed card (can't remember off hand which one). Or a core i-7, but they are expensive. Any suggestions?

Darkmoon Days I can remember in the first years of WoW how when the Darkmoon faire was in a town the word spread thru the realm like wildfire and that lil plot of land near the city it had travelled to became a busy hub of gamers looking for special prizes, toys and chores that they could only turn in periodically. Now as the landscape as grown the Darkmoon vendors still go about their day and loyally place out their wares and tents on a schedule as predictable as lossing connection just as you get a chance to roll on the item you have sought for a year in dungeon runs. I think these loyal Faire vendors and keepers need a Bit of attention from the GODz and an upgrade to their chores, rewards, toys, collectible pets and goofy rides that could be dangerous. The Achievement system gives designers an open book of add ons that regardless of merit will surely attract the attention of the population (Ascoli and his Achievers) What kind of new games can you think up for Darkmoon vendors to offer visitors? In the West our Cowboy keeps figuring out his past and with the help of a Hotty Alien in disguise he comes to learn he was not the nicest person on the western block but that back then did have its advantages. The Western towns folk all join forces and band together with… yup Indians to fight the space monsters that are here for our GOLD… .nope they were not Goblins. Ceasar raises his own army from the downtrodden and mistreated Apes in captivity and then teaches them to work as a team. His new Legion rolls out of the darkness in search only of freedom and without killing humans he tries to instill that Killing is Human not Ape behavior… .control is Ape behavior. Transmojoblah... Well, as many of the Crushers have been gamers for over 10 years or more we now see in WoW what we have seen time and time again in other game engines that exceed the 5 yr lifespan… .CRAYONS or FINGER PAINTS!!! Hehehe Actually it is basically the ability to either color or change the rendering or image of what you are wearing to fit some old or design you have dreamed of doing for a long time. They call this on the forums Transmogrification. This is the second addition to the game that puts a portion of design in the hands of the players themselves. The Arcane Reforger was the First ability that came into the game. Now we know that we never will get housing so I guess this is the designers way of giving the players some personalization… but it really is a way to give up some of the control to the players. I betcha the next area will be in the area of CHORES… where we will be able to create some chores from a purchasable or GUILD level rewarded NPC that we then can give our own members GUILD rep as a reward at the same time using the vendor to collect some item(s) that the guild overall may need. We could have used one for the Peacebloom for example to help Uggie! Wobbly News Da Goblins are gearing up after their first runs in rated battlegrounds went… .well quite quick the wrong way… sigh. Peace be with U The collection portion of the contest has ended with Eigun collecting the most Peacebloom in efforts to cure Uglutz rage which has consumed him beyond levels ever registered before. Elders Kailand and Kalea put Peons to work planting the Peaceblooms around the Ancients new home and there is literally no place one can stand or sit that you cannot see or smell the Peaceblooms abundantly now growing at Uglutz new home. It is said that Uglutz was speachless when he arrived after the planting was done earlier. The Poetry submissions are still being accepted and as the Peacebloom begins to work its magic, Elders Kalea and Kailand begin to sort thru the old texts on spells and chants that could be used with the Poetry that is being submitted all in hopes of bringing Uglutz some peace and calm as the days pass. Sadly it seems still the rage that is within the ancient still is lashing out at the innocent… .Elder Scryll seems still to be within the rage focus of his longtime brethren in arms. Daily Chores and their Rewards I think it is fair to say that all of us have at one point enjoyed the rewards of daily chores but then become to hate the rinse and repeat process to daily chores. Now the new Firelands chores do have stepped and content rewards which I do say are fun to achieve… there still are those old chores that… well we refuse to ever do again. In that pile of old chores spread across the vast lands of Azeroth… there are some chores that are what we call EASY MONEY let alone perhaps the means to achieve… cough cough companion Pets perhaps?!? Some also carry easy Honor points to tally up in the Winter grasp battles. Many times it’s a battle of just 5 on 5 or less, in which if you stick to a plan you can quickly gain 500 honor or nearly half a piece of PvP Gear for a short 10 to 15 minutes. The Fishing and Cookin dailies… easy work and a Skill point or two. While reputations are more quickly achieved via the Heroic Dungeon runs while wearing a tabbard of the faction you target. The gold associated at the 85 level chores is nice and adds up quickly. In a short week or two of committed 25 chores… easily 5000 gold can be had in no time. For Blood Kins (Alts) the Cooking and Fishing dailies are VERY EASY exp gains as well as building up the skills and some lucky drops of rewards in the fishing bag. Who knows you might also catch some of those rares that lurk just under the surface… heheh. New Benefactor As the 4th Quarter of 2011 begins a new relationship begins for T.H.E. Da Armory The Clan Armory now has yet to activate the final 8th tab and the usage of it has yet to be determined. Lost over time is the Troll female main… now none exist within the Clan and only 2 Rogues exist today. The Boss War Games has opened to accept team entries and to date Ascoli’s Overachievers is the only team signed up. Peon Progress Peons are only accepted into the Clan if they have a BOSS or Higher stand for them and accept them as their Peon… .this would mean we have a potential of 65 Peons… .currently we have 4. of which 2 are designated Permanent Peons due to their real world requirements. QUALITY of Peons is much more important than Quantity… but always look for great new Peons.

Firebases Open Three Firelands Boss areas have officially been declared “FARM STATUS” by Elder Kailand’s advance Strike team. Locking down the whole lower half of the Firelands has yet to be secured. Ragnoros’s forces continue to spawn and the area is still dangerous to the under equipped or inexperienced raider. Elder Kailands team have slowed their offense and begun to strengthen their primary assault team as well as begin to bring up their reserves to the fight in order to put more boots on the ground as they move against the unyielding defenders of Ragnoros in the Firelands as it is today. The Skullcrusher strike force has begun to break down the forces and defenses of the remaining defending Bosses; Balaeroc, Alysarzors and Major Domo. After some great battles that ebbed and flowed with each side taking the momentum… . There have been moments of GLORY for the Clan as territorial victories have occurred … temporarily “These Fireland forces have deeper pockets of support but yield even greater PLUNDER for the Clan… securing these under farming status is a priority but yet achieved” Kailand also went on to say That there is a vexing odd power that seems to be “affecting the female units of the raid group.” Majordomo summons a pair of ginormous balls that mezmorize for moments some of the team, once they realize they are not there for entertainment The team gets back to the job at hand… well at least in the mind we hope it is still a job.

Lil Crushers to have a home As many of the members of clan skullcrusher are of the older age, many are married and some even retired. During the great times that our kinship in a game have grown so have our real families grown with children and in some cases grand children. It is in this area of recognition that a new section of the Clan Skullcrusher website will be created. Mini versions of players main characters (children) will be displayed doing something familiar to the parents with a name tag. Example would be Kat and Maube have had 2 children, 1 boy and 1 girl, so we would have 1 lil orcling boy (Kat was orc) and 1 lil undead girl (Maubewas deadie). Now I know your saying but they two female characters in game… well that’s only because Kat refuses to look at a male hiney all the time he plays any game. I hope all join in And participate by sending in notes about their newborns and their goofy tendancies. I will do my best to depict graphically what you write. Pet Collection or Addiction While the last issue covered Da Auction house as a time sink… it is one of profit if one is good at it. The area of Pets and the collection of these loyal companions can be more of a battle of patience fueled by the desire to aquire. Locations spawn rarely or babies are found in the pouches of mature animals in the wild. Who knew most beasts in the realm had pouches like the mythical Kangaroo but they do!!! Now there would be a cool mount... A Kangaroo leaping. The Garrison listing in the Armory on the WoW Site now contains a list of all the pets and mounts you can aquire and the means in which they are attained I have always wondered if it would be possible to create a WoW add on to randomly spawn pets like the game of WAR with cards, using the players list as their deck in game. Each of the pets would have to be given a rank And have it work only if the players are within a party. Once a pairing of pets was summoned the add on would declare a score and once one of the players deck (stable of companions)was done… Game over and the score finished. A minimum of 21 pets would be required and I guess it would be similar to the poke-mon system but in game players could have legal pit fighting hehehe. A pet for example like the Dragon that was only available during the Olympics would be one of very high level as well as the Blizz con pets. Just a thought I guess but could be fun. Currently I think it is fun to see the behaviors of the pets and one would think perhaps this could be an “Easter Egg” area where without promotion, Blizzard could make pets react to various situations or commands. Dog n Cats barkin and hissing at each other when in proximity or something goofy like that. Treasury Notes The new 8th Tab has been procured and Repairs has been opened up to all members except Peons. Da Armory The Clan Armory now has its final tab… #8. The plan for the usage of this final expansion of the guild stock pile will be declared soon. Leading option at the time of this paper is to have it open for all grunts to utilize to shift materials and or emergency drops from dungeon runs by using the guild reward bank option. This will mean members will have to maintain the great honor and stature that a Crusher already possesses and only deal with items they personally TEMPORARILY placed in the tab. Items should not remain more than that day ever. Garrison News Currently the Garrison has one primary Raiding group led by Kailand (Tuesdays 8-11) and Holyssa’s Retro raids have gone on hiatus. The lead roles of the garrison are the Elders of Honor and Conquest. These positions have not been filled in quite some time and while several members step up from time to time to lead activities in PvP, Arena, Battlegrounds we have yet to find a pair of consistent dedicated players to the art of War and combat as the WoW game engine has provided currently for the player base. An Elder is a player that is the “point” person for the category that their seat holds in council. For the Roleplaying aspect they are the leaders of the clan that work to determine its future and the options for the membership overall.. Being able to coordinate and be a bit creative too has its merits for these positions. Chieftan Morgh is looking to fill the 2 seats of the Council by next months issue. An Elder is someone who has proven themselves as a Boss within the Clan… aswith any role within the clan if you are interested in it please speak to an Elder or more specifically Elder Kalea and/or Chieftan Morgh for details. You may have to first become a Boss if your dream is to become an Elder.. A good example of what the Elder of Conquest or Honor would be is someone who consistently led weekly 10 man Rated Battlegrounds, Consistently was a high ranking Arena veteran with knowledge of strategies or someone dedicated to consistently assaulting Alliance home cities or harrassing them at all turns in realm PvP. The current Bosses are as follows… BLOOD COHORT Ascoli,, Elrikk, Kazragerg, Lomar, Saephere and Wenvalor THUNDER COHORT Draegloth, Druze, Decreptitude, Markenhoof, Marriana, Shelah, Tainish and Xiris. No new Bosses have been identified at this time. Read up on Forums for what is a Boss NeHew Chieftan Morgh has ordered the Garrison to set up a weekly (SUNDAY EVE) Rated battle group for 8pm till done or exhausted. A note about Peons… If you know of a great player who would fit within our clan and mindset of fun goofy playstylewith serious moments of raiding. Greenbull has returned and Xiris has taken him as her Peon to bring him up to speed on current affairs and the new lands he has awoken to find.
