  1. If you go Feral it doesn't hinder you from healing or de cursing, so to answer your question, you'd still be useful in MC as a Feral spec Druid. If we start promptly at 8:30 Wednesday, you could probably count on 2.5 hours min. I figure we'll get Luci and go for Magmadar. I'm not sure that we will get him the first night we get to him, but it is possible with this group.
  2. We really should get into the habit of all being there on time vs. having a Warlock summon. That saves shards for soul stones and health stones that will be needed in the core.
  3. Yeah, the curse makes it more difficult for us primary healers for the encounter (Shaman) to heal the MT too
  4. Honestly the curse isn't as bad as the Impending Doom. That's the real killer, and I had to ask on the attempt that we downed Luci to have it removed. prior to that request it wasn't being removed from me at all, and I was designated as a MT healer. If I get the curse, I can hold off a little while and bandage myself if I've taken damage or run up and bandage the tank while I wait for the curse to be removed. It's the Impending Doom that gets us all that needs to go asap
  5. Updated my wish list! Thanks Greenbull! Only thing I didn't see on there was Malistar's Defender.
  6. Having Mirk there will help, but it won't solve the problems we had last week with the Impending Doom being removed in a timely manner. We need to assign one target for the locks to handle each time it goes off, as the Felhunter will be off the cooldown by the time the next one is cast. The priests then need to be assigned to the remainder of the people in the range of it. One thing we need to try to do to help the priests and locks is to keep as much of the raid out of range of Luci after the Flame walkers go down. We can pulse the melee'rs in and out, but that's tricky. We can also keep the ranged attacks out enough that they shouldn't be getting the doom (I think). The priests...I think they should stay back just enough to remove the doom from us (same with the locks) so that they aren't subject to it. That should help them a little too. Please let me know if the placement was already taking place...I was on healing duty for Greenbull last week, so I did not see what was going on behind me. The Shadow protection potions will be a god send for this encounter.
  7. Ok, we're two days away from our next foray into MC. Where do we stand on the strat for Luci as far as having a lock helping with demagicing and helping tanks get more shadow resist?
  8. All signed up Now we need to help get Zuato leveled up so he can help...seems we have a lot of Shaman but not enough Druids.
  9. Speaking of gear on Huato's wish list...the Trindlehaven staff from Wyrmthalak and the Rod of the Ogre Magi from the DM Tribute Runs...there is a lot of non set items in DM that are very nice upgrages for most people. I highly recommend going there more often if we can. For those in other guilds - Huato has the key to UBRS, so as long as I am on and available, I will open the door for you, even if you don't need me in the group...I will come in, open the door, and leave so you can fill out your party if need be. Just ask...I ask for nothing in return (other than maybe a summons if need be).
  10. Huato has 6/8th of the Elements, and would like to get the remaining two pieces. That said I am also willing to help anyone with this endeavor as long as I have the time. Zuato is slowly working to the mid 50's (still low 40's now). He already has the three BoE Wildheart pieces in the bank for when he gets there, but I'd like to get him in on this too...which means I need to play him a whole lot more than I have been lately to get him there as quickly as possible. If one or two 60's are willing to help, we can run him and any others in that same level through the dungeons and elite areas to speed the process along.
  11. Since I've ran into a lot of Shaman who refuse to heal because they have no points in the restoration tree, I thought I would post this to stir up the pot. As a hybrid class with the ability to heal, we will be called upon to heal in the end game instances. We should do this and should also heal in the battlegrounds, even if we don't points in restoration. Shaman are born at level 1 with the ability to heal and should use that to keep their party and themselves alive. As we go through the grind to 60, enhancement works wonderfully for grinding. When you get to 40 and up, enhancement starts to lose it's power, especially in the battlegrounds against plate wearing warriors and paladins. This is where our elemental tree comes in handy...plate mitigates physical damage. So do shields. So you need to fall back on your elemental spells for maximum damage. This leads to the next thing - gear. A lot of mid to end game gear, including greens give Shaman + healing and damage in one item. This gear is wonderful for PvE and PvP. Since I am running out of time for this post, discuss...pick my opinions apart here and tell me why you feel that way.
  12. Yep. I believe I mentioned a while back that the tanks in Nark's run had Shadow prot gear and Fire resist gear for this place...and Mirk I believe was the one that had forgotten to switch out after the fight and was taking some massive fire damage from the respawned core/ancient hounds as we left the cave from fighting Luci and Magmadar. What can we do to help our tanks get Shadow resist gear? I'm not real familiar with tank pieces at all. That's why I carry three shields on Huato now...the Zulian Defender for most places, Rattlecage Buckler for the shadow resist in Scholo, against Luci, against Gehennas, etc, and the Draconian deflector for the fire resist for Magmadar, Geddon, et all. Even with the priest's shadow protection buff, my shadow resist was around 80-something. I was still taking 1000, 1500, or 2000 everytime one of those Impending Dooms popped - it seems that unless you are above 100 on Shadow resist it is random how much damage you take when it goes off. The Tier 1 epic sets that come from Molten Core all have fire resist and shadow resist spread out amongst the pieces of the set. The more time we spend in there and get the gang geared up these encounters will get easier because we will be taking less fire, shadow, and even physical damage.
  13. Any calls for instances and help here are certainly open to any other guilds! And we'd be glad to offer assistance if you need it too - just post.
  14. The shadow resist potions would take up one, maybe two Dooms if you're lucky. With the 8 second cool down on the demagic with the felhunter, you'd only get one person per pop. The timer on it is 5 seconds, so it would only get one, but that one extra would help the priests tremendously. Oh, and believe me, we do notice and appreciate the warlocks...the soul stones, the health stones, the curse of elements, and the fire aoe...I notice those every time.
  15. Sweet! There we have it...the locks will be releasing their Felhunters for this encounter to help the priests out with the demagicing!! I'm glad that will work - thanks for the info Tainish...the Priests and the rest of the group will have a newfound appreciation for a Warlock and their pet! Edit: damn you. I read that link you posted and it makes the Warlock class even more fascinating to me...I don't have time for yet another alt!
  16. My 2 copper were that last night the priests has one helluva time keeping up with Impending Doom, and some weren't even paying attention to it (at least from my perspective) until the last try that we took Luci down. I know the priests were busting butt that entire fight, but the priest I had in my party on the last go at it didn't start removing it until I yelled it needed removed after one had already popped. With that in mind, I proposed this in a thread on the open forum: Is that possible? We need some help for the priests during that fight because we can't expect 3 or 4 priests to be able to keep up with the number of people that keep getting the debuff unless we do slower dps to Luci once the flamewalkers are down and keep most of the raid back in that cubby.

    MC Success

Since we had problems with the Impending Doom magic debuff last night, I've been kicking around ideas to try and think of what we can do to help the priests out during this encounter...we asked an awful lot of them last night to be the only class to remove magic from the main healers, tanks, and mages. One thing that came to mind was Felhunters. Apparently they can also remove Mind Control, and can remove the magic debuff...it will require a little more alertness from the Locks, but that would help tremendously. Maybe have the locks DOT up Luci and then switch to sending their Felhunters out to demagic a set group...mayeb have the priests on primary healers, locks on mages, etc. Is that feasible?

Aye! Twas a good battle in there, and a few people walked away with some nice stuff! Now to go farm for a bit so I can afford our next foray into there! lol My repair bill was right at 4 gold. But I don't mind one bit. Last night was a lot of fun, and we could have taken a shot at Magmadar had we had more time (so be early next week if possible!). The poor Priests had to work overtime that last battle dispelling though. They did a damn good job keeping the Impending Doom off us. And thanks again Maube for getting this off the ground and going!
  19. lol I hope he is as well. We ended up back at the hospital for a few more hours today, but still no little one. I just can't wait till he's here.
  20. Nope, not my first, or second, but "officially" my third. My wife also has two and this will be her third. So...we'll have 5 total when he gets here. But not all at the same time except once every other weekend (which sucks). We have 3 a week at a time every other week though. Still no little Huato yet. Still anytime though
  21. Well, as some know I had to cut out to take my wife to the hospital sometime after 9pm server time...just got home a little after 2:30am with now little one yet...it won't be much longer. I'm going to bed...I will see everyone in game hopefully later today.
  22. Well, Smedlock, Raeda, Uglutz, Verissi, and myself made an attempt at this last night and almost pulled it off. We got through the room of 9 elite green ghosts whithout whiping the entire party on the first go, and the final two ghosts and Aspect before Darkreaver appeared finally got us. By that time the entire place had more or less respawned so we had to call it a night. The next time we have it since we know what we're doing now.
  23. Bumpage again - I posted on the ACCalendar in game for tonight at 9:30pm EST...hopefully more see this
