  1. Hopefully he also meant to add that it would be allowed again once they could squash the bug. I would hate to see them disable something and never deal with the underlying problem.
  2. As many of you know Simon aka Doddz was sent to help in the war efforts. Here is something his father sent along. Here is to a speedy recovery from your wounds and a sincere thank you for putting your life on the line supporting the efforts. *salutes*
  3. I could quote what some of the dev team said on the subject when dozens of people made thse suggestions when smithing bod's were first introduced but it just doesnt matter. I suppose better late than never.....
  4. I shall await your return ready to give full a full flamestrike salute! Seriously though, I hope your time in foriegn lands is a short lived one and youll soon find yourself back among your brothers and sisters. Safe travels Knight of Honor -BB
  5. I hope things resolve quickly so that all the all troops can come home. Until that time Ill keep your wife and your family in my prayers at night.
  6. Mrs. O'Brien comes to visit her son Seamus for 3 days in Dublin where he is studying. She finds out that her son lives with Vikki, a girl roommate. Mrs. O'Brien couldn't help but notice how pretty Seamus's roommate was. She suspects there is a relationship between the two. Reading his Mum's thoughts, Seamus volunteered, "I know what you must be thinking, Mum, but I assure you, Vikki and I are just roommates." About a week later, Vikki came to Seamus saying, "Ever since your mother left, I've been unable to find the silver sugar bowl. You don't suppose she took it, do you?" "Well, I doubt it, but I'll email her, just to be sure." So he sat down and wrote: Dear Mam, I'm not saying that you did take the sugar bowl from my house, and I'm not saying that you did not take it. But the fact remains that it has been missing ever since you left. Love, Seamus Several days later, Seamus received an email from his Mum which read: Dear Son, I'm not saying that you do sleep with Vikki, and I'm not saying that you do not sleep with her. But the fact remains that if she was sleeping in her OWN bed, she would have found the sugar bowl by now. Love, Mam. Lesson of the day... Don't Lie to Your Mother...especially if she is Irish
  7. All I know is stratics is the biggest lag fest ever. Ill not pay extra money to access a site for information that should originate and be contained within the OSI/EA owned and operated website. It truely is a wonder the people calling the shots still are employed over there in Texas. Some of the management decisions are just piss poor.
  8. find your element at mutedfaith.com. <º>
  9. My schedule is so bazaar that to vote would be misleading. As always if family and time permit I shall be there sword in hand.
  10. For immediate review and understanding by all members of PGoH As of late there have been several incidents involving PGoH and GoL. Who is at fault in these incidents will be determined and is not the basis for this post. This post is to clarify the official stance PGoH is holding at this time and to clarify membership roles and behavior in dealing with our ally, the Guardians of Light. 1. All of PGoH should understand how to use the printscreen key to make screenshots or download a utility which will facilitate this. All PGoH should be using UO Journal. Use the link provided for file download and installation instructions. 2. Member conduct. a. If you arrive at a site where a Guardian of Light is present be cordial. Inquire if you may share his hunting area. If hostility is shown, or an unwillingness to share, then quickly remove yourself from the area and follow instructions listed in this post under section 3. b. If you are a Praetorian and arrive at a site and are met with outward hostility or you witness hostility towards another guildmate use any and all action to end the threat and allow for safe retreat of any and all PGoH. I expect that journals will be running at all times, but these instances absolutely require them running. Praetorians if your journal is not running then do not engage leave immediatly. Absolutely no exceptions 3. Reporting an instance Contact Greg or another Govenor immediatly via ICQ. Repeat Greg or another Govenor. Be ready to supply them with screenshots (if you can) or at the very least a log of the event which should have been automatically saved if you are running UO Journal as has been instructed. If immediate military action is required the Govenor will contact the Preatorians and action will be taken. Otherwise let Greg and the diplomats deal with things as they best see fit. In closing I strongly urge you all to comply with this post. I also urge all Govenors to just sign off on this with your name and ICQ so that the general populace is familiar with who you are and how you may be reached.
  11. Seems we are not the only ones familiar with Wolf's legendary odor!
  12. I would pay good gold for a rune books containing 16 spots per runebook per color.
  13. Cheblis is right on here. Kill two birsds with one stone! Ore and dirt not to mention gold and even some other goodies if you pull a unknown mage rogue or bard skeleton.
  14. Hepestos will be yer smithy. As for mining I thik the dwarf would flee to the darkest caves toting kegs of the hardest stouts if he had to go about picking the earth *chuckles*
  15. Behold and be thankful this is not your neighbor.
  16. 115 here You definitly need more than GM if you are going after rares. Doddz is right though good luck getting any doom rares by placing the items in static spots and putting them on a spawning schedule the "power gamers" (if you want to call them that) have mapped out the precise times items will spawn (within minutes) and convienently recall in as a rare is spawning. If OSI wanted to combat this they should have random span locations and a bit more randomized time. Not to mention Doom should not be the only place one might find rares. Need to thin out the area and make thieves EARN the booty. Perhaps even have Mobs on which the rares spawn. If the mob is killed no rare would be on him....however if a thief was brazen enough to saunter up and attempt to steal from the Mob well then he might find himself pilfering a rare. This would allow thiefs to be a little more than sightseerers as they recall in and out collecting rares.
  17. Well you must first have a mind to change it *sneers* and those making the decision here are most likey void of all grey matter. I believe some necromancer cast animate dead on jwilsons and created the suits at OSI.
  18. Speaking of runes it would be so cool if the Arcane house could get its members together and create books to be passed to all PGoH containing All Cities Fel Trammel and Malas. Dungeons entrances and places of interest. This would result in about 5-6 books being passed out to each member, a huge undertaking, but then we could all rest assured that all members have runes to places of import and be able to rally to any call with speed.
  19. Stratics is sooooooo slow. I can usually bake a loaf of bread faster than I can get a page to load, and I don't know how to bake bread! If I'm on cable I can only imagine how horrible it is for dial-up. I am ashamed of the complete and utter disregard for players from OSI. Their CS stinks plain and simple.
  20. Logan and Steel I wish you the best of luck getting the Legion into shape. MY post wasnt to dishearten you but rather to prepare you for the obstacles to come. That said let me also say that there are some new members that impress me both in game and out. Should they be a reflection of the general caliber, intelligence and motivation by the guild as a whole perhaps your task will not be as daunting as I fear.
  21. Such a unit exists. Rules have been explained and people just cant seem to follow them (speaking of the anti-pk unit). As I said in another post I would expound further but I'd prefer to not start smashing things as I describe the ineptitude people show at following basic orders and following a chain of command. (ok so my blood pressure started to go up there....good thing Im not going to go into further detail.)
  22. Kodoz good comments, all have been stated before. I would expound further but I dont want to burst a blood vessel. Lucky for Logan thats his job now. *grins*
  23. I love UOAssist. Personally its something OSI should buy the rights to it (let Tugsoft keep working it though since they fix things pretty well when things need fixing) and include it as part of UO. This is something that try as they might UO seems to fall short on every time.
