  2. If people are smart an archer can hold the beasts agro and be the only one taking hits. Then healers can flank the archer and heal him with bandages. Worked well for us the other day.
  3. Congratulations to all recently promoted members. PGoH News on Promotions, Please take a moment to check the PGoH roster and inform me via ICQ if your title is incorrect and needs updating. If you are not on the PGoH roster or have no idea what roster I am talking about contact me via ICQ and I will help you.
  4. Can anyone possibly do me a favor and post this to the UO boards for me with the working link found in the post as well? I still have no access to the UO boards and really want them to consider something like this for pet summoning. Thanks in advance if someone does this for me.
  5. Woot I believe I have the following day off so I can actually make this event. If so count me in.
  6. Reread the Codex regardless many show little understanding for the hierarchy, it is in place with reason, and If you have yet to read it once........ The Purple Guardians of Honor Codex The codex has been developed and refined over the past 5 years to see to the needs of all the members of PGoH. It has proven successful in maintaining a guild balance and is extremely important in health guild living. It can not be stressed how important it is to adhere to it as strictly as possible. 7. I have it as well. It sure is pretty eye candy and play is fun as well. Just hard to find time to play between my family, work, all that needs to be done at home UO and EQ. Egad I need more hours in the day. At least there is no monthly cost associated with it!
  8. In reading stratics today I came across this: I earlier read a post by our own Borg concerning sculpting which can be found in this thread: Additions to sculpting Now lets add Brightblades creative thoughts.... Imagine a tamer going to his or her favorite sculptor and commisioning them to make a statuette of thier pet. THe sculptor then contacts his or her Inscriptionist/Animal Lore expert and has plans drawn up. The sculptor then takes these plans along with wood or granite etc (perhaps add durability to these statues (allow them to wear randomly much like the fire horns are designed to keep a viable market, wood being weakest and valorite being the most durable*) and a part of a like animal which will become the statue (i.e. dragon scale, #### hound ash, mare meat, etc.) and crafts the statue. To complete the process the tamer then takes the statue and applies it to the pet. Allow a chance for failure depending on the tamers overall skill sets with failure resulting in a chance of the statue breaking due to magical strains. The statue could then be double clicked to store the pet if it is on the same screen (pet in a bag) Perhaps have a 10 second delay here and it can not be initiated if the pet is aggroed at the statue activiation and will stop if the pet is ordered to attack or guard during the transformation. To summon the pet one just double clickds the statue and poof a second or two later the pet reappears with the same stats etc it went into statue form with. * note the use of wood might make crafting easier and more successful while the use of colored stone might require more attempts. Failure would result in loss of all resources being used.

  11. Once again the brave members of PGoH will set out in search of the very rare Ancient Wyrm heart which will be used to help concoct a cure for Ancient Wolf. Please be at Olympus shortly before 9.30 EST ready to move out.
  12. Wrong is fun and totally empty. Golems Juka and evil mages spawn there now
  13. Always good to see a brother or sister make their way home!
  14. Remeber to roleplay you do not need thee's thou's and other Elizibethian speech. As Balandar pointed out its about picking a type of character you wish to play and sticking to it.
  15. Great ideas...however I would change leper attack to a disease effect rather than DP. Perhaps STR, INT, DEX, HP, MANA loss only cured by a combo of spells such as bless and cure. DP has been done by many creatures, it would be nice to see some new harm come our way
  16. Now this is a neat idea.....might also be a good way to get a gold sink in place.
  17. Oh very nice idea! My craftsman would need to drop a few skills though, not sure how keen I'd be on that Perhaps you could add to this by allowing those with inscription and animal lore or anatomy to make plans for a sculpture instead, thus fostering teamwork amongst stonecrafter/mason and those who know the animal/person. Just a thought.
  18. Soon as I get some time. Iv'e been on a marathon run trying to earn gold to get the necessary items for the museum. It may take me some time indeed but it will get posted. I do know they are all just plain old iron stuff though Anyone know how in the heck to get colored bods? Is it just plain dumb luck?
  19. Hephestos: GM Blacksmithing, Carpentry, Tailoring, Tinkering and Mining. Currently Master Lumberjacking and Expert (81 or so) Magery with no plans on GMing them. Scrolls of Power hooooo!!!! Studied both mining books and Stonecrafting Kazoo: GM Alchemist and Master Posioner. Studied Glassblowing
  20. My alchemist was GM cooking and like an idiot i dropped it...now I am going to need to work it back up. Hopefully someday they will do something really creative and useful with the cooking skill.
  21. Ok.....any programmers out there besides Balandar? It would be great if a script could be written to keep track of this stuff and update it. With tailoring BOD's coming out in the next week it would be useful for those as well. Who knows perhaps in time there will be BODs for Carpentry (Would be neat as hell i.e. livingroom sets, kitchen sets etc.) and Alchemy and Cooking. Anyone with such programming knowledge willing to undertake such an endeavor please post here. Maybe then we can get together with Bal and see if something can be worked out.
  22. Just wanted to say wow! T.H.E. Community welcomes our newest member Paul Stike making a total of 262 registered members. 262 members not bad at all! Bal and Wolf great work on the site. It really gives us a nice focal point out of game and allows for great communication. -BB
  23. Erishkigal would love Daemon dismissal bows and Ogre crunching bows, as well as anything good against the heavy hitting blood elementals and dare I say Balrons..... Please let me know if there is anyone with such bows.
