Callista knew she should have been glad last night. She should have been so happy for her sister that it would help her forget how low she had began to feel as of late. She thought she could fight it by pretending to be the most happiest person someone might meet. However, inside, she was still torn up over Alex's death. When Charlie and Kodoz announced the upcoming birth of thier new child, Callista was filled with joy for them and at the same time was hit with the memory of carrying her own son. Callista knew that it was not meant to be as why Alex had not lived to be but a mere few months old but that didnt stop her from blaming herself for his death. All she could think about during the rest of the meeting was the short time between Alex's birth until his death. She knew that she had to forget, even if for a short while, she had to escape the thoughts that were plaguing her mind.
After the meeting, most of everyone ended up at Galehaven. Callista tried to lightheartedly watch all the goings on but they were still not enough to help her escape her thoughts. Finally, she decided she needed to get drunk, yea drunk, that would do the trick. Callista ordered the strongest thing available, but Bill finally talked her into just drinking an ale instead. After a bit of ale, Callista found herself becoming more depressed. She tried to sneak off into the corner so she could try to stop her tears but Soren and Danielle were there to comfort her. Callista began to remember what made PGOH so special to her was that is was her family. After they rejoined the party, Callista began to feel better and began to drink a little heavier. Suddenly, everything was funny. It was funny even when she almost fell off of her stool a number of times. Heck, Calli went so far as to even suggest Bill and Robert play strip checkers. Definitely a sober Callista would not have been tolerate of her own actions, but a more tipsy Callista was care-free. After a game of checkers with Soren, Callista was feeling a bit woozy and a good bit tired. She knew if she could just lay down, she would be alright. Thankfully Soren helped her down the winding stairs of Galehaven and she made it home where she snuggled close with Mareak's pillow and feel into a deep slumber.
