    Matrix 3

To be fair, I haven't seen Matrix: Reloaded yet, but I was fairly disapointed by Revolutions also. Not knowing who half the characters were didn't help my perception of the movie either. None shall ever hold a candle to the orginal. I did enjoy the fight in Zion ... particuraly the APU fight. I want one of those The fight with Neo and Smith at the end ... I was waiting for Neo's hair to turn yellow, it was so much like something out of Dragon Ball Z. The dialogue seemed too scripted too, but ah well. I can say I've seen it at least.
  2. Super Mario 3 Time Attack Words cannot describe this movie. You must see it for yourself.
  3. Wow, Dem, great to hear from you. Sadly, I am one of those who has departed Sosaria for other worlds. But it's still good to see you around, no matter what game.
  4. I have an older version of that. The keyboard lasts quite a while, but the mouse eats through batteries like you wouldn't believe. I think I've had to replace the keyboard twice since I got it, and the mouse more times than I can count.
  5. Graphics in the screenshots look so much like Diablo 2 it's not even funny. Think I'll stick with FFXI (and WoW when it is released)
  6. Okay 'Tok, check your ICQ, I sent you a worldpass #. If anyone else is interested, it has 3 uses left after Martok uses his. Drop me an ICQ.
  7. Oh boy lets see: Game is more like FFT as far as classes go. You have your 6 basic classes from FF1 that open up other classses after certain requirements are met. Tech level seems to be about that of FF4 I'd say. There's mainly swords and sorcery but also some classes can equip guns. And there are airships that you can take between cities. Doesn't seem to be a whole lot of magic items just yet, but lots and lots of equipment in general. Lots and lots of quests to do. And I found out last night that under the Conquest system, you can spend conquest points you accumlate on some decent equipment too. Spells are pretty straight forward. You get access to better spells as you go up in level, and you must buy/find any spells. Not automatically learned as you go up in level. Each class has specific skills like weapon skills, magic skill, etc, that go up with use. When a warrior uses his sword, his sword skill goes up. When he sucessfully parries an attack, his guard skill goes up. When a mage casts Fire, his elemental usage goes up. When he casts Poison, his enfeeblement skill goes up. You get the idea. I'm not sure how exaclty each skil affects the game just yet, but the general idea is the higher your skill, the more accurate and damaging you are with said weapon/magic. Plus, if you switch classes, you get a portion of any skill you already raised applied towards your new classs. When I switched to Monk yesterday, I had a decent amount of evasion from my black mage levels to start. There are a few crafting houses, but I'm not too familair with them yet. Blacksmithing, tanning, fishing, culinary, and a few others I can't remember.
  8. Well this morning I actually decided to make my character a Monk ... the easy changing of job classes is another great feature. I'm used to losing XP with DAoC and all. It's just the level loss that really upsets most people. It also kind of discourages you from exploring.
  9. Yes, the graphics are absolutely stunning. It's like playing a live action FFX. My new big gripe though is losing XP when you die. I got used to it when I played DAoC but in FFXI, you can actually lose a level in doing so, which can be very very frustrating. Also, I've noticed one little problem in the combat system: If you try to attack a monster that is moving, your character will not actually take a swing at it until it stops moving. But, if you try to run from a monster, the monster will get off several hits as you run .. and will often chase you entirly across a map. Which has led to some pretty bad monster trains by some people, but I don't blame them when given the choice between running to town and death and possibly level loss ... I'm assuming, Kodoz, that you're playing a warrior type. I find most of the warrior types don't gripe about level loss like us mage types do And since there isn't much equipment a mage can use, I haven't had any money problems.
  10. Currently, it's One character for $12.99 ... but you can purchase an additonal "Content ID" for an additonal $1 a month. Though, you can literally switch between classes (the orginal 6 FF ones) at will. Only reason you'd need another character is to play on a different server. PvP is coming (according to the most recent notes) it will be consentual (No PKs) and probably something to do with the current Conquest system between the nations of FFXI. The biggest gripe most people have had about FFXI is the lack of a server selection. When you create your character, you are put on a random, low population server. There are 2 ways around this. First, and easiest, someone in game buys a "Worldpass" which is like a password that lets up to 5 friends create a character on your server. The other way is just to recreate your character until you get on the server you want. I lucked out and got on Phoenix on my FIRST TRY, but others are not so lucky. If anyone wants to join up, I'll spring for a worldpass. But they are only good for one week, so it'd be best if several people came in at the same time.
  11. Anyone at all either playing or planning to play this new game? I'm playing on the Phoenix server, as a member of the Real Life linkshell (the guild equivilant in FFXI).
  12. 126, Visual Mathemetican When I first heard "Mathemetcian" I chuckled since math was always one of my worst subjects, but seems they are suggesting that means I'm better at finding patterns moreso than straight math, perhaps where my love of drafting comes from.
  13. You know, I used comcast about 2 years ago, and I had a similar problem where I couldn't access any of the Origin servers (game or web). The problem was with one of the hops I was taking, through above.net, which didn't like Origin's network for whatever reason. Took about a week to resolve. Sounds like you got luckier
  14. I want you all to watch this movie for as long as possible without going crazy.
