Coldren

How many of you old timers remember MyUO? How many of you youngin's never heard of it? Well, you should get to know it. It's a valuable tool for some of us indecisive folk. I for one am at an impasse in what I can solo given my equipment and skillset, so I'm considering changing around me skills a bit. So how do you use it, what good is it? Go to http://my.uo.com/cgi-bin/myuo.pl, and sign in. This isn't necessarily your UO account name that you use, so you may have to register one. I'm sure you could use it, but you can also use a character name. I can tell you my MyUO account name is Coldren, but that is definitely not my UO account name. So sign in and do a character search for one of your characters (Char Search on the left). Once you find your character, a paperdoll will show what you were wearing the last time MyUO updated. You'll see a "Status" button next to it. Click on that. You'll see that it will list your skills and stats, and at the bottom is a checkbox saying: Make this character page visible to the world Check that and hit change! Now whenever anyone wants to know your stats/skills, you can refer them to the MyUO site! I for one would like to know the skills a few of you use. Here's my simplistic template that served me well prior to AoS (Well, now it has Chivalry instead of Archery), but is a bit long in the tooth now: Coldren Strength and Honor!

It's now "Offically" released. It was a few months ago. I also do not like it, but as previously stated, I too do log in and suggest bug fixes. The artwork will probably never grow on me though, and I only sign on on the test server. I'd never dream of playing KR on Catskills...

Bah.. And of course, I miss it. What did I miss?

Haha! I'll be sure to make a boy whatever because.. Well.. I AM a boy. I'd love to play a support class like Holy Paladin or Priest (of some spec), but those are terribly slow to level unless you have a gaurnteed partner. Is the guild active/large enough that this won't be a problem? Any volunteers to start a DPS alt?

Well, fun has more to do with the guild, not the class anyway. I stopped playing before because the guild I was in was fairly inactive and aloof. I tried rolling other alts, but it all seemed pointless if it'd always be solo or grouped with the wifey like I was with my Paladin. I had fun with every class I played, but couldn't buckle down on another. I tried'em all, but I'm just too indecisive. Hmm.. A drunken rogue, you say? Wouldn't be much of a stretch.

Greetings, all. I'm thinking of coming back to WoW for a bit, and was wondering, if I do come back, what class does the guild need the most? I played Alliance on Shadowmoon and had a level 70 Paladin, and several alts not quite so high, so I have a fair-to-decent understanding of most classes. Is there any class we're in dire need of?

Thanks guys. And it hasn't ALWAYS been a quick skill, Mr. Smarty Smart. Thanks for the mining tip though! I was just about to begin searching for new places to mine for the higher ores (Quite a few Agapite/Verite veins in the caves West of Trinsic, but no Valorite). I'll definitely check that out!

Callista: Aye - Britain was ALWAYS "THE" place to be, back in the day. But there was still a good number of people coming and and out of Trinsic. Now it's barely that. I saw two people at the bank yesterday and I thought I was running a fever.. And Thorax, what's the invasion of Despise event? I wasn't around for it.. The invasion of Trinsic by Jun'dor will be my all time favorite MMO memory. Trinsic was completely blocked off from the world. Couldn't recall in (Except on top of the bank.. nice little loophole someone found. ^_^), had to run through a tunnel.. Undead yumminess all around, complete with Lich and Lich Lords... Though back then, they were soloable.. **Grumbles over his lost rep/fame to 3 deaths from a regular Lich..** I also happened to catch a GM or Volunteer playing Jun'dor, and nearly killed him with my mage.. He high taled it out, as I'm sure it would have been a storyboard nightmare to have your arse beat by a single, non-GM mage! It's events like that that I miss the most.. This candle thing doesnt' really capture my interest. They need to do more city invasions at common cities.. Heck, have Luna ransacked by undead, or something. I don't even GO to Luna, but I would for the event.. I wish the undead would come to Trinsic again..

Incidently, Trinsic is the only city I am ever in. Even though I'm not always on Coldren, all my alts go there, and only there for any purposes. It's sad that it's so desolate. Used to see so many people there. *Sigh* Guess you can't go back, eh?

Shameless plug on my part, guys, but I'd really like to know what people think about the BOD system change I posted in this post on the Ideas forum on stratics, and I want to give it maximum exposure. Discuss here or there, but either would be great! Just looking to get some feedback. I like the idea of BOD's, but not the current implementation, as I'm sure many do, so what can we suggest to make it better? Thanks!

Why pay for more when you can make your own high end Vodka? You do know how they purify vodka, right? They run it through charcoal filters... What else in your house has a charcoal filter? Why, your water filters! Take any crappy by volume vodka, run it through a typical household Brita water filter about 7 times (have to throw out the filter after, of course), and it's supposedly just like drinking water - smooth as can be. I haven't tried it yet, but the theory is sound. A friend of mine did it and he said it supposedly works.. I think he also said it was so pure he didn't have a hangeover after.

Hear, hear. No need to apologize. I haven't found the time to get on since my first night back! That's mostly due to my job though. But, you have RL issues to tend to, plus the holidays. I don't think anyone would fault that.

Well, I came back last night to a very warm welcome! Thank you all for your welcome, patience and assistance. I still have a lot to re-learn about the game, though, as should have been clearly evident last night. I don't recall ever dying in succession so many times in such a small period since I became GM anything.. Let alone with a 6x GM character! Thankfully, everyone else was in top form and kept me from having to run back. Never thought I'd see the day when "vanquishing" was "OK" and Exceptional Plate wasn't that good... Time to fire up the old smithy and find some valorite veins... Which in and of it self should be an interesting experience! I look forward to the next chance I get to log in! Stength and Honor!
