  1. In a nutshell, DVD is better for quality picture and sound. SVCDs however are usable on most dvd players AND cd-roms. CDs are cheaper. DVD reportedly has a longer life expectance. Those are the biggest differences and benefits. Good place to start or refrence: http://www.videohelp.com/dvd Good community, wont treat you like an idiot and will try to be very clear/simple. OH! If you dont plan to keep the shows, I suggest SVCD format on a CD-RW. Save your DVDs for home movies or something else you want to keep a long time/make many copies of.

    The Firepit

Our little known and underused forum known as the Firepit has been upgraded today. It will now display ALL posts indefinately, instead of making them invisible after 30 days. Also, if you ever wanted to read the goings on of the other forums of days gone by, you can scroll to the bottom and change how much is displayed for you. (lower right hand side.)
  3. yes, typo. Meeting is tonight, 9pm server time, outside south gate of Orgrimmar.
  4. I assume you tried the basic unplugging/rebooting/resetting IP/etc. Is it a bad modem? Have you tried updating its firmware?
  5. ...The spirit guide continued: "Shadow is not the abscence of light in your realm. Shadow is lights shield." Looking rather confused, Vol thinks: How can this be? The spirit wriggles out of his hand and onto the ground. It coils up and looks intently toward the watching orc. Slowly, the spirits physical skin begins to dry, then harden. Uncoiling and rubbing slowly upon the rocky ground the seemingly live snake goes grey and apparently dies. Volonazra shuffles and gets on all fours and bends down to inspect the creature. Slowly the snakes skin cracks around his mouth. Soon the snake is moving again, and is shedding its outter skin. Finally, it is free of its dead form and coiled up before the befuddled orc. A wave of realization overcomes Volonazra. A wide toothy grin overtakes him. He understands the lesson. Volonazra realizes for the first time the amount of time he's been up on the mountain. His mouth was dry and cracked, and his stomach ached with hungar. Scooping up the snake and wrapping it atop his staff, he began his journey home. He became overwhelmed at the thought of how much he still had to learn. But, he had taken a large step in his daunting quest. He was relieved, and overjoyed with the understanding his spirit walk had given him. His soul was still his. And thus began Volonazra's journey along the Path of Shadow AND Spirit, and the beginning of many more lessons....

  12. Very good news! Puts some integrity back into my view of Blizz. Glad to be of some help of course. In the end, thats what I feel the guild should be about. After we have all the goo, seen all the sights, and the game has lost its fun, what we have are the players we have met.

    got RP?

For those of us that like a little more RP and immersion, try this addon. http://www.curse-gaming.com/mod.php?addid=1028 Of course, as with any addon, use caution.
  14. (and there was much rejoicing)
  15. I will totally understand your wanting to leave, should things be handled without any regard for you. However! Should you have any inclination to just stick around T.H.E could see to it that you have some free time in game. In fact, ill be calling Borg tonight on my break at work. So, Muru, expect a call (or maybe visit) from him ASAP. We want you around bud.

  17. I think thi shas led to some unwarrented bannings. We had one person in Skullcrushers banned for running third person apps, when he wasnt. Many other such accounts of this too. I see the need to prevent hacking the game. But, not sure how I feel about this level of "detection" even though I dont run anything (except teamspeak) due to system load anyhow.
  18. WHAT!?! Please, tell us what you think happen. Any programs you had running, ie UI . What action have you already taken? How can we help?

  23. Havent had time nor money to invest in an aquarium for awhile now. When i was really into it, i learned to save and spend BIG on filtration. Saves time, effort, and most of all money. I cant recommend skimping on the filter. You'll want to hurt yourself later. Especially, if like me, you start importing the exotics and find them belly up later. Actually from what I recall used, but well maintained, external pump/filter are a good option. They have been conditioned which helps your whole system. I got my last from a small shop that was going to upgrade and made me a great deal. Good luck.
